NEW DELHI: Ampere lists the Magnus Neo at Rs 90,999 and the Reo Vyb at Rs 71,999, putting Rs 19,000 between their displayed prices. Both carry an extra-cost warning for mandatory accessories. The more useful distinction is their intended job: the Neo is a family scooter, while the Reo Vyb is a slower, lighter machine for local travel.

Price as of 30 October 2026, 23:40 IST. These are the figures displayed on Ampere's official pages, rather than an all-inclusive invoice. The homepage labels both as starting prices. This comparison does not add an assumed registration, insurance or accessory bill to either scooter.
The cheaper scooter changes the type of journey
The Reo Vyb's official specification lists a top speed of 25 km/h. That places its use firmly around short local journeys. A route through residential streets and a route that joins faster moving traffic ask quite different things of a scooter, even when their distances look similar on a map.
Its 74 kg kerb weight is another meaningful detail. Compared with the Neo's 104 kg, there is less mass to manage while moving the scooter out of a cramped parking space. That observation concerns the published weights, however, and should not be mistaken for a road test or a guarantee that every rider will find it comfortable.
Storage reverses the expected price hierarchy. Ampere specifies 24 litres for Reo Vyb against 22 litres for Magnus Neo. The lower-priced scooter therefore has the larger stated compartment. The capacity alone cannot establish whether a particular helmet or bag fits, since the opening and internal shape matter too.
What the Magnus Neo's higher figure includes
The Neo's page identifies a 2.3 kWh LFP battery, a 777 mm seat height and a dual-frame steel chassis. Those details explain its family-scooter positioning more concretely than a claim about being economical. Seat access, parking effort and carrying everyday belongings remain separate questions, even within the same household.
A shared scooter can spend much of its day stopping, turning around and being parked between other vehicles. For that use, the Neo's seat height and kerb weight deserve attention together. A low seat specification does not cancel the effort needed to push a heavier machine backwards, especially when the parking surface slopes.
Ampere's broader catalogue also separates the Neo from Magnus GMax and Nexus products. Readers following the brand can use our Ampere range price guide for that wider context. The figures above are restricted to the two named scooters and the pages checked for this report.
Do not subtract the range claims
The two range labels are different. Magnus Neo carries an IDC figure; Reo Vyb carries Ampere's own real-range description. Subtracting one from the other would present unlike measurements as a tested difference. Neither figure is a promise about a specific household's route, load or charging routine.
For the same reason, the battery capacities do not tell the whole story about how often these scooters need charging. Their speed envelopes and intended journeys differ. A useful comparison starts with the actual roads involved, rather than treating the larger battery as an automatic answer to every local-mobility need.
Ownership terms also deserve their own reading. Our Nexus battery warranty explainer concerns another Ampere family, while the Revolt RV400 charging explainer shows why a charging percentage must accompany a time claim. Those terms should not be transferred to either scooter here.
The verified price gap is straightforward. What it purchases is a different package of battery capacity, weight, storage and intended road use. Keeping those differences visible is more informative than declaring the two scooters interchangeable because they share an Ampere badge.
