NEW DELHI: Revolt lists 3 hours 30 minutes for charging the RV400 battery from 0% to 80%, and 4 hours 45 minutes for 0% to 100%. Its official specifications separately list an 80-minute fast charge to 80%. These are different charging arrangements, and the faster figure should not be treated as the standard home charging time.

The removable battery changes the parking question

Revolt's RV400 page says the supplied portable charger can use a regular home socket and the battery can be removed for charging indoors. That gives an owner a different option from having to bring electricity to the precise spot where the motorcycle is parked. It does not mean every building arrangement is equally convenient.

Consider the journey between the parking bay and the intended charging location. A rider in an apartment may need to carry the battery through a shared entrance or lift. A ground-floor household may have a much shorter route. This practical exercise is more useful than assuming that the word removable automatically settles the charging question.

The official table identifies the battery chemistry as NMC and cooling as passive. It lists an 85 km/h top speed and a 150 km IDC range for the motorcycle. Those figures describe the manufacturer's stated configuration and test range; this report has not measured an owner-specific charging time or road range.

Keep the start and finish percentages attached

A charging time is incomplete without the battery interval. For the RV400, the standard full-charge duration and the standard charge to 80% have different endpoints. Someone returning home with charge remaining is also starting from a different position from the empty-battery interval in the published specification.

That matters when deciding what a charging session needs to achieve before the next departure. The relevant question is whether the available charging window fits the rider's own routine. A brochure duration can be a reference point, but it cannot establish exactly when a particular motorcycle will finish charging in an untested household setting.

Revolt lists fast charging separately from its standard charger. Treat the fast charging arrangement as something to identify from the supplied equipment and model documentation. The published current ratings are not an instruction to substitute a charger, change a connector or modify a household electrical circuit.

The RV400's MyRevolt features include battery status, charging status and an estimated range display, according to its product page. These provide information an owner can observe during normal use. Recording the displayed starting charge and the session's endpoint makes a charging query clearer than reporting only that the bike took too long.

A commuter routine needs more than a range claim

The manufacturer presents the RV400 as a connected electric motorcycle with riding modes and a removable pack. For a commuter, the distinctive combination is motorcycle packaging with charging that can happen away from the parked vehicle. The ability to use that arrangement comfortably should be considered alongside the advertised distance figure.

Our Revolt model price guide covers other members of the range. The Ola Roadster X and X+ report gives separate motorcycle context. This charging explainer does not assume either family's equipment can be used with the RV400.

For another way of reading manufacturer charging claims, see our electric scooter charging comparison. Keep the battery interval, charger and vehicle together whenever comparing a duration. For the RV400, those labels are what distinguish a standard home session from the separately advertised fast charging specification.

For a shared motorcycle, keep the charger identification and the current owner manual accessible to every rider. That helps the household discuss the same equipment when arranging a charging session or describing a problem.
