Tamil Nadu opens Round 2 counselling for Nursing, Pharmacy and Allied Health courses

The Selection Committee under the Directorate of Medical Education and Research, Chennai-10, has published a tentative Round 2 online counselling schedule for B.Sc Nursing, B.Pharm, BASLP and Allied and Healthcare undergraduate degree courses for the 2026-2027 session. The notice covers re-allotment and allotment for government seats in government colleges and allotment for government-quota seats in self-financing colleges. Registration and payment open at 1:00 pm on 11 September 2026 and close at 5:00 pm on 12 September 2026, so candidates who still need a seat or a re-allotment must finish portal registration inside that same-day window.
This desk treats the file as a Round 2 calendar for the nursing, pharmacy and allied-health UG pipeline only. It is not the Pharm.D (6 Years) provisional allotment list dated 10 September, it is not the M.Pharm Round 1 registration and choice-locking schedule that runs through 12 September 5:00 pm, and it is not the MBBS/BDS court-order eligible-list addendum. Keep those four Tamil Nadu Selection Committee artefacts on separate stories.
What the Round 2 calendar locks for Nursing, B.Pharm and Allied Health
After registration closes on 12 September, choice filling and locking run from 10:00 am on 13 September 2026 to 5:00 pm on 15 September 2026. The Round 2 result is scheduled for 17 September 2026. Provisional allotment orders may be downloaded from 18 September through 21 September 2026 up to 3:00 pm. Reporting at the allotted college must be completed on or before 21 September 2026 up to 5:00 pm. The schedule prints a participation band from general rank GR 001 to GR 65475 and from total mark 200.00 down to 75.50.
Candidates who take part must remit a non-refundable processing fee of Rs.250 online through debit card, credit card or net banking, unless they already paid Rs.250 while registering for an earlier round. The seat matrix for B.Sc Nursing, B.Pharm, BASLP and Allied and Healthcare degree courses will be shown on the official websites. Admission is to be made by online counselling on the basis of rank with the rule of reservation applied. The Selection Committee states that it does not take responsibility for connectivity errors, and once a choice is locked it cannot be changed later.
Re-allotment rules matter for anyone who already holds a Round 1 seat. Candidates willing to seek a different course or college must register again and complete fresh choice filling and locking; their Round 1 allotted seat then opens for choice filling in Round 2. Anyone who opts for upgradation from a Round 1 seat and receives a new allotment must vacate the earlier seat and cannot claim to retain it. Re-allotment from self-financing colleges to government colleges is allowed in subsequent rounds, but re-allotment within self-financing colleges is not allowed. Candidates registered but not allotted in government medical colleges in the first phase, and candidates who did not register in the first phase, may join this Round 2 counselling.
How candidates should use the 11-12 September registration window
Students should treat 12 September 5:00 pm as the hard close for Round 2 registration and payment on this nursing-pharmacy-allied track. Missing that stamp means missing the choice window that opens the next morning. Before locking choices, candidates should read the published seat matrix carefully, because the schedule warns that choice filling must be done with care and that locked options cannot be altered afterwards.
At reporting time, allotted candidates must download the provisional allotment order and join the concerned college on or before the stipulated date and time. Original certificates must be produced in person along with scanned copies. Candidates must also give a self-declaration that selection or admission is liable to forfeiture if suppression of facts or misrepresentation is found later. Failure to report to the head of the institution by the stated deadline cancels selection or admission without further notice. In case of doubt, the English version of the bilingual notice is final.
The official PDF used for this desk is https://tnmedicalselection.net/news/10092026235956.pdf, with the Selection Committee portal at https://tnmedicalselection.net/. The controlling stamp for this story is the tentative Round 2 schedule for B.Sc Nursing, B.Pharm, BASLP and Allied and Healthcare UG courses: registration and payment from 1:00 pm on 11 September to 5:00 pm on 12 September 2026, choices through 15 September, result on 17 September, and reporting by 21 September 5:00 pm. That UG Round 2 calendar, not the Pharm.D allotment list, not the M.Pharm Round 1 deadline, and not the MBBS court eligible addendum, is the story.
