Tamil Nadu lets MPT applicants upload self-declaration if B.PT ends by 30 September

MPT hopefuls who will finish B.PT, including internship, on or before 30 September 2026 but still lack the course completion certificate can stay in the Tamil Nadu application process. Selection Committee Notification No. 1042/SCSII(2)/2026, dated 18 September 2026, from Kilpauk, Chennai, sets out the interim paperwork.

Such candidates must upload a self-declaration form together with a certificate from the college principal. The principal certificate must state that the candidate will complete the course on a named date before 30 September 2026 and will submit the course completion certificate and provisional degree certificate at the time of admission to the M.PT degree course.

Why the notice matters mid-application

Many physiotherapy colleges schedule internship end-dates late in September. Without this attention note, candidates days away from completion would be blocked for want of a final certificate while the MPT portal is open. The Selection Committee has chosen a fixed outer date: 30 September 2026.

The notice does not waive the eventual production of the course completion and provisional degree certificates. It only allows the application stage to proceed on the self-declaration and principal certificate. At joining, the original completion papers must be produced as stated.

What applicants should prepare today

Ask the B.PT college principal for a dated certificate that names the expected completion date on or before 30 September 2026. Draft the self-declaration in the format the portal expects. Keep internship attendance proof handy in case counselling desks ask for it later.

Candidates who already hold the course completion certificate should upload that document instead of the interim route. This 18 September note is procedural relief on top of the existing MPT prospectus on tnmedicalselection.net, not a fresh prospectus.

Applicants must still meet every other MPT prospectus clause on marks, age and community documentation where claimed.

College principals issuing the supporting certificate should keep a signed office copy in case Selection Committee desks cross-check the promised completion date.

Students should diary when the provisional degree certificate is due from the university, not only the college course completion letter.

In practical terms, finish B.PT including internship by 30 September 2026, upload the self-declaration and principal certificate now, and hand over completion papers at admission.
