Tamil Nadu M.Pharm Round 1 registration and choice locking run through 12 September

The Selection Committee, Directorate of Medical Education and Research, Chennai-10, has issued a tentative online Round I counselling schedule for the M.Pharm course for the 2026-2027 session. Registration, payment and choice locking opened at 10:00 am on 8 September 2026 and remain open only until 5:00 pm on 12 September 2026. For postgraduate pharmacy candidates who have not yet locked options, that 12 September afternoon stamp is the controlling deadline on this desk date.
This schedule is the M.Pharm Round 1 counselling calendar. It is not the B.Sc Nursing, B.Pharm, BASLP and Allied Healthcare Round 2 registration window of 11-12 September, it is not the Pharm.D (6 Years) provisional allotment list dated 10 September, and it is not the MBBS/BDS court-order eligible-list addendum. Keep the postgraduate M.Pharm pipeline separate from those undergraduate nursing, Pharm.D and MBBS artefacts.
What the Round I M.Pharm schedule and fee rules require
After the 12 September 5:00 pm close, the final result of the first-round allotment is scheduled for 15 September 2026. Provisional allotment orders may be downloaded from 16 September 2026 through 19 September 2026 up to 3:00 pm. Reporting must be completed on or before 19 September 2026 up to 5:00 pm. The printed rank band for this Round I run is general rank GR 001 to GR 1371.
All candidates who take part must remit a non-refundable processing fee of Rs.500 online through debit card, credit card, net banking or UPI. The seat matrix will be available on the websites. Admission is by online counselling on the basis of rank with the rule of reservation. PWBD candidates should also participate; the allotment process for general-rank candidates runs after allotment of PWBD candidates. As per prospectus clause 45(1)(d), if there are no eligible service candidates, those seats will be allotted to eligible open-category candidates. An option once given during online counselling cannot be changed later, and requests for change of branch or college after an option has been exercised at admission are not permitted.
Selected candidates must pay Rs.5,000 online for government colleges and self-financing colleges toward tuition fee before downloading the provisional allotment order. That amount is adjusted against college tuition, with the balance payable at joining. The tuition fee is non-refundable if the candidate discontinues or does not join. At joining, original certificates must be produced in person with scanned copies, including B.Pharm degree or provisional certificate, year-wise mark sheets, Tamil Nadu Pharmacy Council registration, community certificate, nativity certificate where claimed, date-of-birth evidence, posting order for service candidates, PWBD certificate if applicable, and eligibility certificate from Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University for graduates of other universities.
How M.Pharm candidates should use the 12 September 5:00 pm close
Candidates still inside the registration and choice-locking window should finish payment, enter college and branch preferences carefully, and lock before 5:00 pm on 12 September 2026. The annexure on the same PDF explains that after login the candidate is taken to payment, then to choice entry, and that status changes to Locked only after options are locked. Leaving choices unlocked past the deadline is not a soft miss; it is a missed Round 1 participation.
After allotment on 15 September, candidates must download the provisional order inside the 16-19 September window, pay the Rs.5,000 tuition advance, and report by 19 September 5:00 pm with originals. Failure to report cancels selection or admission without further notice. Requests for re-allotment or transfer of college will not be considered under the instructions printed with this Round I schedule. The Selection Committee also warns candidates not to share login ID, password or OTP, and states that it does not take responsibility for connectivity errors.
The official schedule PDF is https://tnmedicalselection.net/news/07092026055535.pdf, with the portal at https://tnmedicalselection.net/. The story stamp is Round I M.Pharm registration, payment and choice locking through 5:00 pm on 12 September 2026, with final Round-1 result on 15 September and reporting by 19 September 5:00 pm for GR 001 to GR 1371. That postgraduate pharmacy Round 1 deadline, not the Nursing Round 2 calendar, not the Pharm.D allotment list, and not the MBBS court eligible addendum, is the story.
