Notification No. 026/SCS1(1)/2026 of the Selection Committee, Directorate of Medical Education and Research, Kilpauk, Chennai-10, dated 8 September 2026, states that named candidates have been included in the eligible lists for academic year 2026-2027 pursuant to orders of the Hon'ble High Court of Madras Bench. The attention notice is an eligible-list addendum for MBBS/BDS counselling categories. It is not a fresh Round 2 choice-filling calendar and it is not a pharmacy or nursing counselling schedule.

This addendum sits on the MBBS/BDS eligible-list track. It is not the Round 2 schedule for B.Sc Nursing, B.Pharm, BASLP and Allied Healthcare, it is not the Pharm.D (6 Years) provisional allotment list dated 10 September, and it is not the M.Pharm Round 1 registration and choice-locking window through 12 September 5:00 pm. Destack those Selection Committee products from this court-driven eligible-list update.

Which writ petitions and candidates the 08.09.2026 notice adds

Under Government Quota Category, the notice cites W.P. No. 344415 of 2026, W.P. No. 35546 of 2026, W.P. No. 35745 of 2026 and W.P. No. 36094 of 2026. The tabulated inclusions are rank 6217A, application 26UG822033, Guhashree U (OC, NEET mark 501); rank 16696A, application 26UG837010, Mohamed Irfan Pathan Y (BCM, NEET mark 402, community rank 854A); and rank 28209A, application 26UG846744, Senthalai R (MBC and DNC, NEET mark 286, community rank 7548A).

Under Management Quota Category, W.P. No. 35580 of 2026 adds rank 21757A, application 26UG928570, Sharaj K Santhosh (NEET mark 255). Separately, W.P. No. 35481 of 2026 adds rank 2349A, application 26UG926514, Pragya Anand Deenadayalan (NEET mark 503) under Management Quota.

Under NRI Quota Category, W.P. No. 34618 of 2026 includes application 26UG902352, Aarna Khatri. Under Telugu Minority Category, W.P. No. 35089 of 2026 includes application 26UG907830, Reshmachanduni G S. Under Christian Minority Category, W.P. No. 35546 of 2026 includes application 26UG928706, J Rio Karsten. The notice also records inclusion under Person with Benchmark Disability Category for application 26UG835965, S Arul Amuthan.

The notice does not reprint the full statewide MBBS/BDS Round 2 vacancy matrix or choice calendar. Its operative content is the court-ordered addition of the named candidates to the stated quota or minority categories for 2026-2027.

How Round 2 MBBS/BDS aspirants should read an eligible-list addendum

Candidates already on the main Government Quota or other category lists should treat Notification 026 as a targeted court-compliance update, not as a reopening of registration for everyone. The named applicants gain inclusion under the categories printed against their writ petitions. Other aspirants continue on the ordinary Round 2 counselling instructions already published for MBBS/BDS, which this desk keeps on separate locks covering schedule and newly added college seats.

College authorities and counselling helpdesks should match application numbers carefully when a candidate presents this addendum, because ranks carry the "A" suffix style used on the notice and because multiple quota headings appear in one PDF. Nursing, B.Pharm, Allied Health, Pharm.D and M.Pharm candidates should not read Notification 026 as applying to their course pipelines; those streams have their own September schedules and allotment lists.

The primary PDF is https://tnmedicalselection.net/news/09092026042958.pdf, with the Selection Committee portal at https://tnmedicalselection.net/. The story stamp is Notification No. 026/SCS1(1)/2026 dated 08.09.2026, which includes Madras High Court-ordered candidates under Government Quota, Management Quota, NRI, Telugu Minority, Christian Minority and PwBD categories for MBBS/BDS academic year 2026-2027. That court-order eligible-list addendum, not the Nursing Round 2 calendar, not the Pharm.D allotment list, and not the M.Pharm Round 1 deadline, is the story.
