Candidates allotted seats in the second round of Allied and Healthcare Degree course counselling in Tamil Nadu must download their allotment orders and report to the allotted institution on or before 5:00 PM on 25 September 2026. The instruction comes in Selection Committee Notification No.9/SCSIII(1)/2026, dated 21 September 2026, from the Directorate of Medical Education and Research, Kilpauk, Chennai.
The notice is addressed to all candidates who took part in the second round and were allotted a college. The Selection Committee website lists it for candidates of B.Sc. (Nursing), B.Pharm, B.ASLP, B.P.O and Allied and Healthcare UG degree courses for the 2026-27 session. It does not reopen choice filling or publish a new seat matrix. It fixes the reporting deadline for Round 2 allottees.
How Round 2 reached this point
The tentative Round 2 schedule issued by the Selection Committee on 10 September covered re-allotment and allotment of government seats in government colleges and allotment of government quota seats in self-financing colleges. It set registration and payment from 1:00 PM on 11 September to 5:00 PM on 12 September, and choice filling and locking from 13 to 15 September. The round was open to ranks GR 001 to GR 65475, covering total marks from 200.00 down to 75.50.
That timetable then moved. Notification No.8, dated 15 September, extended the last date for registration and choice locking for B.Sc. Nursing, B.Pharm and Allied and Healthcare UG degree courses to 19 September and said results would be published on 21 September. The original schedule had placed the result on 17 September and reporting on or before 21 September. Notification No.9 now sets the reporting deadline at 25 September.
Rules that apply at reporting
The instructions printed with the Round 2 schedule say allotted candidates must download their provisional allotment order and join the course at the concerned medical college or institution on or before the stipulated date and time. Candidates must produce their original certificates in person at joining, along with scanned copies of those certificates for the college.
A candidate who does not report to the head of the allotted institution by the specified date and time will have the selection or admission cancelled without further notice. Candidates selected for admission must also give the college a self-declaration at reporting, accepting that the selection or admission can be forfeited if suppression of facts or misrepresentation is found at any time during or after admission.
The schedule set out other conditions for the round. Candidates who opted for upgradation from a Round 1 seat must vacate that seat and cannot claim to retain it. Re-allotment from self-financing colleges to government colleges is allowed in later rounds, but re-allotment within self-financing colleges is not. Choices once locked cannot be changed. Candidates who had already paid the Rs.250 non-refundable processing fee in an earlier round did not have to pay again.
Admission to these courses is made through online counselling on the basis of rank, applying the rule of reservation. The Selection Committee has said it does not take responsibility for connectivity errors on the portal, and that the English version of its instructions is final in case of doubt.
For Round 2 allottees, the deadline in Notification No.9 is 5:00 PM on 25 September 2026 at the allotted institution, with the allotment order and original certificates.
