NEW DELHI: TP-Link India's warranty table lists one year for smart-home products, the category relevant to a Tapo L530E bulb claim. Owners should prepare the purchase invoice and describe the fault before seeking service. The India product page currently marks L530E V2 as End of Life, but that label does not itself state an individual owner's warranty expiry date.

Identify the bulb before describing the fault

Start with the exact model and hardware version printed on the product or its packaging. Keep a photograph for your own records and put the invoice beside it. The support conversation becomes clearer when the model is established before anyone tries to diagnose whether the problem is illumination, connection or a scheduled action.

The L530E V2 page specifies an E27 base and direct Wi-Fi connection without a separate hub. That matters when describing an existing installation. Record which fitting holds the bulb and whether other functions still work. A report saying that the light illuminates but cannot be reached in the app describes a different symptom from a bulb that no longer illuminates at all.

Write the sequence in plain language. Note what was happening before the fault, what the bulb does now and whether the behaviour is consistent. Avoid converting an observation into a diagnosis. Saying that a scheduled action did not happen leaves support room to investigate; declaring a failed radio without evidence can send the conversation in the wrong direction.

Follow the published claim route

TP-Link's replacement procedure starts with technical support confirming the fault, followed by the shop that sold the device. If the shop declines the claim, the policy provides an RMA route. The stated cover concerns material or workmanship defects; the company policy does not offer a refund and allows refurbished replacements.

For an owner, that sequence suggests a useful preparation routine: gather the purchase record, produce a concise fault description and keep the service reference. If the shop and manufacturer handle different stages, maintain a record of which stage has been completed. Do not assume that handing a bulb to a counter automatically completes every part of a manufacturer claim.

The policy makes the customer responsible for one-way shipping on a replacement application and excludes physical or liquid damage. Ask for the correct destination and packing instructions before sending anything. Keep the dispatch record with the claim details so the device and the paperwork can be traced together.

Do not turn a lifetime figure into warranty cover

The product specification lists a 15,000-hour lifetime. That is a separate entry from the India warranty table. An owner should therefore use the warranty terms for a service claim, rather than treating the lifetime specification as a promise of free replacement for that whole duration.

Likewise, the End of Life label on the product page is a model-status notice. It should prompt an owner to use the correct model support material and establish the applicable service terms. It should not be turned into an invented date on which every bulb stops working or every purchase loses coverage.

Our Gadget and accessory price guide covers another brand and its separate service terms. For connected-lighting context, see the Xiaomi Camera 2i warranty: how to claim 6-month cover. The Ambrane Charge 25 price: Rs 649 for the Black GaN adapter concerns a separate device and should not be used as bulb service instructions.

Keep the claim focused on the L530E you own: its identity, purchase evidence, observed fault and service history. That gives the shop or manufacturer a usable record while keeping published product specifications separate from the conditions under which warranty service is assessed.

Before dispatch, compare the model recorded in the claim with the item being packed. In a home with several similar bulbs, this simple check helps keep an unaffected lamp from being mixed up with the unit whose fault was reported.
