NEW DELHI: Simple Energy's warranty page, with Simple OneS selected, lists vehicle and battery cover of 3 years or 30,000 km, whichever comes first. Its claim procedure asks owners to take proof of purchase and vehicle identification details to an authorised service centre, where the scooter is inspected before an eligible repair or replacement is approved.

The selected variant matters. Simple's current website includes several product names, but the warranty page opened for this report displayed OneS in its selector. The cover described here should not automatically be assigned to every Simple scooter or to a separate paid protection plan.

Prepare a claim that identifies the scooter and the fault

Start by locating the purchase document and the identification details for the vehicle. Keep them together with the warranty paperwork supplied for that scooter. Matching the documents to the correct model helps avoid a discussion based on a similarly named product or a later version of the website.

Separately, make a short record of the problem: what happened, when it happened and what the scooter was doing at the time. If an alert appears, retaining its wording can make the explanation clearer. This is practical preparation for the visit, rather than an additional documentary requirement stated by Simple.

The purpose is to give the workshop a clear account to investigate. A battery-related symptom, a charger problem and an issue elsewhere in the vehicle can look similar to an owner. Describing the behaviour is more useful than committing to a diagnosis before the scooter has been checked.

Inspection comes before the remedy

Simple's stated process places inspection and diagnosis before an eligible repair or replacement. A warranty duration therefore does not, on its own, establish the outcome of a particular complaint. The workshop still needs to decide whether the reported fault falls within the published cover.

Ask for the complaint and the workshop's assessment to be recorded against the vehicle. Retain the job sheet and any explanation of the proposed work. These records create a useful account of what was reported and what action followed, especially if the same symptom returns after the visit.

The warranty page excludes ordinary wear and consumables, accident or misuse damage, unauthorised modifications, work outside an authorised Simple service centre and environmental damage such as flooding or corrosion. A rider should distinguish a fault claim from scheduled maintenance when describing the work being requested.

Check the component, as well as the headline limit

The charger wording needs particular care. The page's overview refers to expiry after 36 months, while its detailed list gives a portable-charger limit of 3 years or 20,000 km, whichever comes first. Those statements should not be flattened into the vehicle's mileage limit. Check the charger document supplied with the scooter before relying on cover.

Simple also advertises a separate battery-and-motor product called Super Protect. The extended-warranty page identifies it separately from standard cover. Its existence does not establish that a specific OneS already has it, or that the standard claim automatically includes the additional product.

There is a similar need to separate the scooter from its related versions. Our Simple One vs Simple Ultra price: Rs 2,04,999 vs Rs 2,44,999, 265 km vs 400 km range concerns those named products. The Ampere Nexus battery warranty: 60 months or 75,000 km from July 2025 provides the wider product context, rather than proof of an individual warranty entitlement.

For a different manufacturer's terms, see our Ambrane Charge 25 price: Rs 649 for the Black GaN adapter. Its limits belong to Nexus. Keeping the exact scooter, component and policy together is the practical way to avoid importing an attractive warranty figure from another model.

If ownership has changed, Simple says the warranty remains with the vehicle. Preserve the original paperwork alongside the transfer records so the remaining cover can be traced. A change of owner should not be confused with a fresh warranty starting on the transfer date.
