NEW DELHI: The OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite starts lower at a published MRP of Rs 19,999, against Rs 24,999 for the Nord CE4, according to their official India specification pages. Both starting configurations have 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. At 256GB, the listed prices are Rs 22,999 and Rs 26,999 respectively, making the difference smaller.

The gap depends on storage

The starting-price difference is Rs 5,000. For the configurations with 256GB, it is Rs 4,000. Within the CE4 range, doubling storage costs Rs 2,000; the same capacity step in the Lite range costs Rs 3,000. Those calculations come directly from the published variant tables and explain why comparing only the headline starting figures misses part of the picture.

Both models keep physical RAM at 8GB across these options. There is consequently no RAM increase hidden in either storage upgrade. A person moving a large photo library can compare the larger configurations directly, while someone with fewer locally saved files can make the same comparison at the lower capacity without changing the RAM basis.

Storage technology also differs between the phones. That is distinct from the quantity of space available. A capacity label describes how much can be kept, whereas the technical standard concerns the storage system. This comparison does not assign a real-world app-speed advantage in seconds, because the official tables do not provide such a test.

A second camera with a different job

Both specification sheets list a 50MP Sony LYT-600 main camera with optical stabilisation. Their companion cameras are different: the CE4 has an 8MP ultra-wide, while the Lite has a 2MP depth-assist camera. A depth-assist label should not be read as another lens for capturing a wider view of a room or a group.

That distinction gives the shared main-camera pixel count some necessary context. For a family photograph in a confined space, the ability to select a wider view is a separate function from the main sensor's resolution. It is more informative to identify that function than to count the visible camera circles and assume the arrangements are equivalent.

Video is another clear dividing line. OnePlus lists rear 4K recording at 30fps for the CE4, while the Lite's rear video specification lists 1080p at 30fps. These describe recording options, rather than an overall ranking of image quality. Lighting, movement and the intended output still determine which setting is useful.

For school projects or family clips, decide the intended recording format before comparing file sizes or sharing workflows. The camera hardware and the recording menu are separate parts of that decision.

Similar battery size does not settle the comparison

The equal typical battery capacities make the charging difference easy to isolate, but neither capacity nor wattage establishes identical endurance. Charging power also should not be converted into a completion time by simple arithmetic. The power figure describes support for a charging system, not a constant rate maintained throughout a full recharge.

The Lite retains a 3.5mm headphone socket. That detail may matter in an existing setup with wired earphones, especially where a handset is shared for calls and lessons. It is a concrete connection option, rather than a reason to assume that every other part of the cheaper model matches the CE4.
