NEW DELHI: A OnePlus 10T purchased on oneplus.in comes under the site's limited phone warranty of one year from delivery, provided the defect meets the policy's conditions. The first step in preparing a claim is to establish that delivery date, then assemble the original invoice, the handset's model and serial number, and photographs showing the reported defect.

This is a guide to the published contractual process, not a determination that a particular handset qualifies. A model name or the continued presence of a product page does not establish an active warranty. Owners whose delivery was outside the stated period should not interpret the phone's original warranty as newly renewed.

Start with the paperwork and the actual symptom

Keep the order invoice and delivery evidence together. The policy starts the clock at delivery, so an order confirmation on its own may not settle the relevant date. If the phone was obtained through another sales channel, establish the terms that apply to that purchase instead of assuming this website-specific description answers the whole question.

Prepare a brief account of what happens, when it started and whether it repeats. Distinguish a phone that does not recognise a charger from a phone that charges more slowly during use. Those descriptions point to different observations without prematurely deciding which component is responsible. Clear evidence gives the service team a more useful starting point than a general complaint that charging feels wrong.

The 10T has two different charging labels

The model's official sheet lists 150W SUPERVOOC phone charging and a 160W SUPERVOOC adapter in the box. That difference is part of the published package, rather than proof that the wrong accessory was supplied. A service description should identify the actual adapter and cable being used, rather than treating their printed wattage as the phone's guaranteed charging rate.

OnePlus's charging footnote describes laboratory testing with the official adapter, a controlled starting temperature and the screen off. A charging result obtained while the phone is doing other work is not a like-for-like repetition of that test. Recording the circumstances is useful; declaring a hardware defect solely because a marketing charging time was not reproduced is a separate claim.

Separate eligibility from inspection

The limited warranty concerns manufacturing and material defects. Its exclusions include accidental and liquid damage, ordinary wear, unauthorised repairs and certain problems associated with unapproved accessories. A warranty request does not override those exclusions. Ask for the assessed cause and the proposed work to be recorded, especially if the service outcome differs from the fault initially reported.

The policy says covered repair or replacement, together with shipping and handling, is free during the qualifying period. That statement applies to covered work. It should not be turned into a promise that every repair on every 10T will cost nothing. An inspection can establish that the reported issue falls outside the contract's conditions.

Back up before handing the phone over

The repair page asks owners to back up personal data and prepare the device by removing its security lock and resetting it. Make the backup first and check that important material is recoverable before following the handover instructions. A repair request is a poor moment to discover that the only copy of a document or photograph was on the handset.

OnePlus describes submission of a service request, collection or a service-centre visit, inspection and repair, and return of the device. Retain the job reference and a copy of the reported symptom. When collecting the phone, compare the recorded work with the original problem and check the relevant function before rebuilding the everyday setup.

Related coverage covers distinct questions: OnePlus 13 green-line repairs, OnePlus Pad Lite cancellation refunds and OnePlus Pad 3 charging-adapter checks. None establishes warranty eligibility for a 10T.
