JSW MG Motor India launched the 2026 Hector Blackstorm and Snowstorm on 7 October, pricing each at Rs 19,99,800 ex-showroom. The special editions combine a five-seat cabin with a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine and CVT automatic gearbox.
The figure is MG's announced price as of 11 October 2026, 9:43 AM IST, checked against its launch announcement. A dealer-specific on-road total, local stock and delivery date have not been verified.
Two colour themes and a dealer-fitted package
Blackstorm has an all-black exterior, while Snowstorm pairs a white body with a black roof. MG's launch images show red detailing around the front fog-lamp surrounds and outside mirrors, black wheels and side steps. The two finishes therefore give the same SUV quite different appearances without changing its seating layout.
The new Storm Hex grille, dark exterior trim and black cabin distinguish these versions. The front headrests carry the edition name. MG says its Storm accessory package, including badges, red accents, mirror protectors and side steps, can be fitted at dealerships without an additional charge.
The Blackstorm badge has an earlier history. MG's April 2024 announcement covered five-, six- and seven-seat versions, including diesel-manual variants, and described a diamond-mesh grille. Those specifications and prices belong to that earlier release. The October 2026 announcement identifies the new pair specifically as five-seat petrol automatics.
Familiar petrol engine, updated screen controls
The petrol engine produces 143 PS and 250 Nm. Those outputs also appear in the regular Hector's current product information, which lists manual and CVT transmissions across the wider range. The Storm announcement offers no separate power increase. Dalimss News' earlier Hector variant-price report covers that regular range.
The equipment retained for the Storm editions includes a 14-inch portrait touchscreen and a seven-inch digital instrument display. The Hector product page also describes a panoramic sunroof, powered tailgate, PM2.5-filter air purifier and eight-colour cabin lighting. These are established Hector features carried into the special-edition package, alongside its darker cabin treatment.
MG's Hector brochure explains the i-SWIPE controls in more detail. Two-finger vertical swipes adjust air-conditioning temperature and horizontal swipes alter fan speed. Three-finger vertical swipes change audio volume, while horizontal movement changes tracks. The gesture system handles those adjustments through the screen rather than adding a separate physical control panel.
MG lists a 360-degree camera with wheel view and driver-assistance systems for the Storm pair. The wider Hector equipment description includes electronic stability control, traction control, hill-hold and brake assist. Its driver-assistance functions include adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning and forward-collision warning.
The brochure cautions that driver assistance leaves responsibility for attentive driving with the person at the wheel. It also places conditions on connected functions: network availability affects internet-based services. The stated i-SMART inclusion runs for one year from delivery, with 2GB of data each month during that period; additional data use requires a recharge.
What the ownership package covers
The Storm launch includes MG Shield cover: a three-year unlimited-kilometre warranty, roadside assistance for three years and three labour-free scheduled services.
The service and warranty booklet linked from MG's Hector service page adds the conditions behind that headline. Warranty cover starts on delivery. The unlimited-distance provision applies to personal registration; commercial registration has a three-year or 1,00,000km limit, whichever comes first. The booklet covers manufacturing, material and assembly defects.
Labour-free servicing does not make every maintenance item free. The booklet lists filters, fluids, consumables, alignment and wheel balancing among chargeable items. It also excludes normal wear from the main defect warranty. These distinctions separate the launch's ownership package from a promise that all running or replacement costs are included.
The booklet separately gives the battery and tyres one year of cover through their respective manufacturers. A transfer of ownership does not restart or extend the original warranty period. It also says repairs do not extend the warranty’s end date.
This launch is separate from the Hector Tomahawk plug-in hybrid covered earlier by Dalimss News. The shared Hector name spans different products, so its hybrid powertrain and delivery programme do not describe the Blackstorm and Snowstorm announced on 7 October.
