NEW DELHI: The MG Hector now starts at Rs 12,14,000 for the base Style variant and goes up to Rs 20,14,800 for the top seven-seat versions, according to the variant list on JSW MG Motor India's official Hector page. All figures are listed as starting prices, price as of 9 October 2026, 7:05 AM IST.

The Hector is MG's best-known SUV in India, and the festive season is when midsize SUV sales peak. Here is the full variant-wise price ladder for the five-seat and seven-seat versions, the engine MG lists, and what changes as you move up the range.

MG Hector price list: five-seat variants

MG lists the five-seat Hector as follows: Style at Rs 12,14,000, Select Pro MT at Rs 14,94,800, Smart Pro MT at Rs 15,94,800, Smart Pro CVT at Rs 17,14,800, Sharp Pro MT at Rs 17,64,800, Sharp Pro CVT at Rs 18,74,800 and Savvy Pro CVT at Rs 19,64,800.

One point to note: the finance calculator on the same page uses a car price of Rs 11,99,000, which is lower than the Rs 12,14,000 shown on the Style variant card. The variant cards are the more specific listing, so buyers should treat Rs 12,14,000 as the starting figure and confirm the exact ex-showroom price for their city with the dealer.

Seven-seat Hector prices

The seven-seat Hector is offered in three versions on the page: Sharp Pro MT at Rs 17,99,800, Sharp Pro CVT at Rs 20,14,800 and Savvy Pro at Rs 20,14,800. The seven-seat cards also mention a dual-tone Urban Tan interior theme.

That makes the seven-seat Sharp Pro MT Rs 35,000 more than the equivalent five-seat Sharp Pro MT, going by MG's listed starting prices.

Engine and gearbox

MG's specification table lists a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine making 143 PS at 5,200 rpm and 250 Nm at 3,000 rpm, with a choice of a six-speed manual or a CVT automatic. Disc brakes are listed at the front and rear.

The five-seat Style variant is listed at 4,655 mm long, while the Select Pro is listed at 4,699 mm, with both sharing a 2,750 mm wheelbase, 1,835 mm width and 1,760 mm height. The fuel tank capacity is given as 60 litres.

Manual or CVT: the price gap

Choosing the CVT automatic adds Rs 1,20,000 on the Smart Pro and Rs 1,10,000 on the Sharp Pro five-seaters, based on MG's listed starting prices. On the seven-seat Sharp Pro, the CVT version costs Rs 2,15,000 more than the manual, and it is also Rs 1,40,000 dearer than the five-seat Sharp Pro CVT.

The specification table lists 215/60 R17 tyres, McPherson strut front suspension and a beam axle at the rear on the variants shown. Buyers who drive mostly in city traffic will weigh the automatic's convenience against that extra outlay, while highway users may find the manual adequate.

What each step up adds

The base Style variant gets six airbags, tilt steering, a reclining second row with 60:40 split, LED daytime running lamps, rear parking sensors and hill hold control, according to its variant card.

From the Select Pro upwards, MG adds what it calls India's largest 35.56 cm (14-inch) HD infotainment screen with i-SWIPE touch gesture controls, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a dual-pane panoramic sunroof and the Aura Hex grille. The Select Pro card also lists a reverse parking camera, full LED tail lamps and a fully digital cluster.

The top Savvy Pro CVT adds front ventilated seats and Level 2 ADAS. Front ventilated seats also appear on the seven-seat Sharp Pro versions, according to MG's variant cards.

How it compares and what to check

The midsize SUV segment has seen several fresh price announcements this month, including the Honda New Elevate at Rs 11.80 lakh to Rs 18.40 lakh. MG has also lined up the plug-in hybrid Hector Tomahawk PHEV for November deliveries, which sits well above the regular Hector on price.

Before booking, ask for an itemised on-road quote with the ex-showroom price, registration, insurance and any accessories listed separately, and check whether a festive benefit applies to the variant you want. Prices on MG's website can change without notice, and the figures here are as seen on 9 October 2026.
