MCC posts NEET MDS Round 1 final allotment result after provisional notice

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) under the Directorate General of Health Services issued Notice No. 2 on 1 September 2026 stating that the provisional result for MDS Counselling Round 1 was available, and followed that notice with publication of the Round 1 final allotment list on the MDS current-events surface. Reference U-11011/07/2026-MEC dated 01.09.2026 told candidates to check the provisional result carefully and to raise any discrepancy through the Candidates Grievances and Query Redressal System on the Candidate Login Portal up to 12:30 pm on 2 September 2026.

This desk story is the Round 1 provisional-to-final allotment sequence for NEET MDS. It is distinct from the live MCC MDS Round 2 counselling schedule that begins from 15 September. Readers should not treat Round 1 final-result guidance as Round 2 registration advice, and should not mix the two counselling rounds when planning college reporting.

What Notice No. 2 and the Round 1 final list establish

Notice No. 2 made three process points explicit. First, the provisional result was only indicative and subject to change. Second, candidates could not claim any right over a seat shown in the provisional result, and the provisional result could not be challenged before a court of law. Third, candidates were advised to approach the allotted college or institute only after declaration of the Final Result. The notice was posted on 01.09.2026.

The companion final allotment PDF is titled MDS Counselling Seats Allotment -2026 Round-1. It opens with quota abbreviations (including All India, Aligarh Muslim University, Banaras Hindu University, Delhi University Quota, IP University Quota, Jain Minority, Muslim Minority, Non-Resident Indian and Self-Financed Merit Seat) and allotted-category abbreviations for Open, OBC-NCL, EWS, SC, ST and corresponding PwD categories. A note instructs candidates whose category or quota changed in the same institution and subject to obtain an online relieving letter and a fresh online admission letter for the changed seat, failing which the allotted seat would be cancelled for non-admission.

The list itself runs across dozens of pages. Early All India rows place top ranks at institutes such as Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences, New Delhi; Faculty of Dental Sciences, KGMU, Lucknow; Dr. Ziauddin Ahmad Dental College, AMU, Aligarh; Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU, Varanasi; and Post Graduate Institute of Dental Sciences, Rohtak, across courses including Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Prosthodontics and Crown and Bridge, Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, and Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry. The archived final list extends through more than 1,500 serial rows into Self-Financed Merit Seat allotments, with a generation timestamp printed as 01-09-2026 06:27:53 PM on the sheets.

How Round 1 allottees should act without confusing Round 2

Candidates who hold a Round 1 final allotment should follow MCC joining instructions for that round and report only against the final result, as Notice No. 2 directed. Anyone who waited on the provisional PDF alone was correctly told not to approach college until the final list. Category or quota changes inside the same institute and subject need the online relieving and fresh admission letters described in the list note.

Candidates who did not secure a Round 1 seat, or who are planning further rounds, must read the separate Round 2 counselling calendar rather than this Round 1 final-list story.
