NEW DELHI: The Maruti Suzuki Fronx starts at Rs 6,89,900 ex-showroom Delhi and the Brezza at Rs 7,49,900, so the entry Brezza costs Rs 60,000 more, according to Maruti's official price data. At the top, the Fronx Alpha AT reaches Rs 11,88,900 and the Brezza ZXI+ AT Rs 13,54,900, a gap of Rs 1,66,000. Price as of 27 October 2026, 12:30 AM IST; dual-tone paint costs extra on top trims.

The two sit close in size and price but are sold differently. The Fronx goes through Maruti's Nexa showrooms and the Brezza through Arena, and they use different engines. The surprise in the current price lists is the turbo: the cheapest turbo-petrol Brezza costs less than the cheapest turbo Fronx.

"Turbo petrol" marks the 998 cc engine. All other petrol versions use the Fronx's 1197 cc engine or the Brezza's 1462 cc engine.

Turbo petrol: the Brezza is cheaper

Maruti lists four Brezza versions with the 1.0-litre turbo engine and a 6-speed manual, from the LXI Turbo MT at Rs 7,49,900 to the ZXI+ Turbo MT at Rs 11,25,900. The LXI Turbo is also the cheapest Brezza of all, Rs 85,000 below the LXI with the 1.5-litre engine. On the Fronx, the turbo starts with the Delta Plus DiTC at Rs 8,96,900, so the entry turbo Brezza is Rs 1,47,000 cheaper. The Fronx turbo versions are listed with Maruti's Smart Hybrid tag.

Claimed mileage on the turbo manuals is close: 21.5 km/l for the Fronx and 20.47 km/l for the Brezza LXI Turbo.

Automatic: AMT Fronx or torque converter Brezza

The cheapest automatic Fronx is the Delta AGS at Rs 8,24,900, with the 1.2-litre engine and a 5-speed AMT. The Brezza has no AMT; its automatic is a 6-speed unit on the 1.5-litre engine, starting with the VXI AT at Rs 10,60,900, which is Rs 2,36,000 more. If you want a Fronx with a conventional 6-speed automatic, the turbo Zeta AT costs Rs 11,03,900, still Rs 81,000 below the Brezza ZXI AT at Rs 11,84,900.

CNG: Rs 1.46 lakh apart

Both offer factory CNG with a manual gearbox. The Fronx Sigma CNG costs Rs 7,93,900 and the Delta CNG Rs 8,73,900, with a claimed 28.51 km/kg. The Brezza CNG range runs from the LXI CNG at Rs 9,39,900 to the ZXI CNG at Rs 11,59,900, rated at 26.90 km/kg. The entry gap is Rs 1,46,000.

Which way to go

On price alone, the Fronx is the cheaper way into a Maruti crossover with a petrol, CNG or AMT version, and its 1.2-litre manuals post the higher mileage claims. The Brezza asks more for its 1.5-litre engine and 6-speed gearboxes, but the turbo LXI undercuts every Fronx turbo. Ex-showroom prices leave out registration and insurance, which add to the on-road figure, so ask the dealer for a written quote.
