NEW DELHI: Lenovo Idea Tab starts at Rs 20,998 and Idea Tab Plus at Rs 32,999 on Lenovo's Indian store. The entry Idea Tab listing pairs 6GB RAM and 128GB storage with Wi-Fi and a pen. The entry Plus listing has 8GB RAM, 256GB storage, 5G and a pen, so the starting prices describe different packages. Price as of 26 October 2026, 23:45 IST.

The starting prices are not like-for-like
The difference begins with connectivity. The lower-priced Idea Tab configuration is a Wi-Fi model, while the Plus entry explicitly includes mobile-data connectivity. Lenovo also sells other Idea Tab configurations, but their existence does not make the cheapest listing a cellular tablet. The part numbers in the table identify the actual entries behind the headline prices.
That distinction has a practical bearing on use away from a home or campus network. A Wi-Fi-only tablet needs access to such a network or another device's hotspot for an internet connection. The cellular configuration offers a different route, subject to the mobile service being used. It is not reasonable to attribute the entire price difference to screen size.
The Plus entry also supplies more physical memory and built-in storage. Both listings name the same memory and storage standards, so a larger capacity should not be described as a different storage generation. For downloaded coursework, locally stored media and offline reference files, capacity and connectivity answer different questions and deserve separate lines in a comparison.
A larger panel with the same pixel dimensions
Idea Tab Plus spreads its specified resolution across a larger display. It does not add more pixels than the entry Idea Tab in this comparison. The larger surface can change how comfortably a full document or an on-screen keyboard fits into a session, while the smaller tablet offers a different physical format for holding and carrying.
Lenovo advertises a 90Hz refresh rate for both model families. The Plus listing distinguishes 600-nit typical brightness from an 800-nit peak, whereas the Idea Tab entry lists 500 nits. Peak and typical brightness are not interchangeable measurements. These manufacturer figures establish the claimed screen specifications, rather than proving how readable either tablet will be in a particular outdoor setting.
Both product pages describe quad speakers with Dolby Atmos tuning. That places audio alongside reading and note-taking in their feature sets, without establishing a sound-quality winner. Our Infinix XPAD price list offers another tablet reference, while the realme Pad 3 and Pad 2 Lite comparison examines another pair of differently configured Android tablets.
Included pens need to be tied to the SKU
The entry configurations in the table explicitly include a pen. Lenovo's broader product illustrations also show optional pens and keyboard accessories, so the pictures alone should not determine what is included. A buyer reading the generic feature description could otherwise confuse accessory compatibility with the contents of the particular package carrying the entry price.
Neither entry description in this comparison includes a keyboard. That matters to anyone assessing the total setup for typed assignments rather than handwritten notes. Lenovo promotes AI Note and Circle to Search on the product pages; these are software features, not evidence that a tablet can replace every application or workflow available on a laptop.
The Plus camera resolutions are higher on both sides, but that alone does not establish better video-call quality. Lighting, network conditions and software affect the experience. The comparison records the official camera specifications and avoids converting those figures into a test result that the reporting did not produce.
Support commitments and the price basis
Both pages describe Android 15, upgrades through Android 17 and security patches until 2029. The named end year is more useful than treating the advertised support period as a fresh entitlement beginning on every purchase date. The product pages make these commitments; this report does not promise a particular monthly patch arrival.
The listed amounts include shipping and taxes, without deducting separately promoted cashback or exchange benefits. Our iPad price guide gives broader context, but these Lenovo starting figures already require attention to RAM, storage, connectivity and the included pen before any cross-brand comparison is made.
