NEW DELHI: The KTM RC 390 is listed from Rs 3,22,719 ex-showroom Delhi on KTM India's official product page. The site names Blue and Orange as its colour choices but does not publish separate prices for each. The confirmed figure is therefore a starting price for the model, not a verified colour-by-colour price list.

The RC name identifies a specific package
The manufacturer's specification gives this RC a different displacement from what someone might infer from the rounded model badge. That matters when comparing specifications or identifying the motorcycle on a quotation. Use the full model name and its published engine capacity, rather than treating every KTM wearing a similar number as mechanically interchangeable.
Its listed power and torque peaks also describe an engine intended to be worked through its rev range. They do not establish a real-world acceleration time, top speed or fuel consumption figure. None of those results is claimed here. Traffic response, heat and the way the rider uses the gearbox require an actual ride rather than an estimate from peak output.
Rider aids have distinct jobs
KTM lists Motorcycle Traction Control, Quickshifter+, cornering ABS and SuperMoto functionality. The main page explains that cornering ABS takes motorcycle lean into account. It also describes the quickshifter as supporting clutchless shifts in both directions. These are separate functions; the presence of one should not be used as shorthand for the behaviour of another.
The TFT screen and switchgear provide access to the electronics. A useful handover therefore includes the settings that are active when the bike starts, how to identify them on the display and how to return to the intended road setup. The feature names alone are a poor substitute for understanding the particular controls in front of the rider.
A sportsbike that needs a posture check
The official specification lists a split trellis frame, a bolt-on subframe, WP APEX suspension and disc brakes measuring 320 mm at the front and 230 mm at the rear. These details describe the hardware supplied. They do not, by themselves, prove how comfortable the suspension will feel on a broken commute or how quickly the bike will stop on a particular road.
The RC's bodywork, riding position and everyday access deserve as much attention as the electronics. KTM describes removable handlebar risers as a way of changing the relationship between street and track positions. For a rider using the motorcycle through the working week, the position actually fitted matters more than the racetrack language surrounding it.
A distinctive RC ownership question is whether the same forward-focused riding layout works for a morning queue and a weekend circuit session. A brief open-road ride can flatter a sportsbike while revealing little about repeated clutch use or wrist comfort at low speed. An assessment should include both kinds of use if both are part of the intended routine.
Who it is for
The RC 390 is for a rider specifically seeking a faired sportsbike with the listed electronic aids and willing to assess its seating position carefully. Someone whose interest is mainly the KTM engine badge should first recognise that the RC package includes a particular body layout and riding posture. Paint choice does not settle those questions.
For other points of reference, our KTM 160 Duke price list: Rs 1,70,545 to Rs 1,78,536 in Delhi discusses another faired-versus-naked choice. The KTM RC 200 vs 200 Duke price: 200 Duke starts lower at Rs 2,05,588 and Kawasaki Ninja 300 and Ninja 500 2027 price in India: Rs 3.34 lakh and Rs 5.76 lakh provide separate model context. Compare their own specifications before drawing conclusions from the badge.
