GURUGRAM: Kia India is advertising festive-season benefits of up to Rs 1,60,400 on its cars, combining exchange, corporate, scrappage and special benefits that vary by model and region, according to the company's official festive offers page. The same page points shoppers to Carens, Seltos, Sonet and Syros among the models covered by the campaign creative.

The Rs 1,60,400 figure is a ceiling, not a flat discount on every car. Kia's own wording says the benefits shown are a combination of schemes and may change from model to model and from region to region. Buyers in Delhi NCR, Mumbai or Bengaluru can therefore see different final numbers even on the same variant.

How the benefit stack is built

Exchange bonus, corporate entitlement, scrappage support and special festive benefits are separate levers. A customer without an exchange car, without a corporate letter and without a scrappage certificate will not reach the headline maximum. The useful exercise at the dealership is to ask for a line-by-line breakup that shows which schemes apply to the exact variant and colour on the booking form.

GST-linked price cuts already embedded in current stickers are separate from the festive add-ons. Kia's page markets both reduced GST prices and festive benefits together, so the invoice should show the ex-showroom clearly before festive extras are applied.

Models in the festive push

The campaign creative names Carens, Seltos, Sonet and Syros. Kia's wider India range also includes Carens Clavis, Carnival and the EV line-up, but the festive page's headline examples are the volume ICE models. For MPV shoppers, Carens and Clavis sit in the same showroom conversation; for compact SUV shoppers, Sonet, Syros and Seltos are the usual comparison set.

Starting MSRP-style figures shown in related Kia modules on the site are city-linked and can differ from a dealer's ex-showroom quote. Treat them as guidance and take a printed quote for the registering city.

What to lock before paying

Ask for the validity end date of the festive stack, whether the benefit is on delivery or only on booking in October, and whether it can be combined with accessory packs or extended warranty. Also confirm if the Rs 1,60,400 class of benefit is available on the specific engine and gearbox you want, because diesel, petrol and automatic lines often carry different scheme caps.

Kia urges customers to follow traffic rules in its boilerplate and reminds readers that colours and features in advertising may differ from the car on the yard. For festive buyers, the paperwork matters more than the billboard: ex-showroom, on-road, scheme breakup and delivery week on one sheet.

North-region festive creative on Kia's site is the reference for this report. Other state microsites can carry different ceilings, which is why Kia repeats that benefits vary by region. A corporate buyer should arrive with company ID and any pre-approved vendor codes the dealer asks for.

Scrappage benefits usually need a valid certificate from an authorised scrapping centre. Without that paper, the scrappage line on the scheme sheet will simply drop out of the total, and the Rs 1,60,400 style maximum will not apply.

Festive scheme sheets change quickly when stock of a popular colour runs out. If the dealer says the maximum benefit needs a specific engine that is three weeks away, decide whether the wait is worth more than a smaller benefit on a car that can be invoiced sooner.

Keep the quote valid date in WhatsApp and on letterhead. Verbal "we will match anything" lines are useless after Navratri when inventories tighten. Also ask whether the benefit is paid as a discount on ex-showroom or as an accessory credit, because those two hit the loan amount differently.

Broader festive retail pressure is visible in Dalimss stories on Hyundai September sales record and Maruti Suzuki September domestic sales.

Dealers may also quote handling and logistics fees that never appear on the national product page, so insist on a single total payable figure before any token is paid.
