NEW DELHI: KENT Sapphire IoT is listed at Rs 22,199, below the Rs 22,799 price of KENT Sterling IoT on the company's Indian website. Both are shown in Black. The larger distinction is installation: Sapphire supports wall mounting or tabletop use, while Sterling is designed to sit under the counter.

Installation is the central difference
A comparison that stops at the price would miss what these appliances are intended to do in the kitchen. Sterling's under-counter layout puts the purification unit in a different position from the wall-mounted or tabletop Sapphire. That is a physical design choice, rather than a feature that can be added later by changing a setting.
For a modular kitchen, the relevant drawing is the space available inside the cabinet, including the route to the water outlet and access for servicing. A wall-mounted installation raises a different set of questions about placement. The listed external measurements help identify the body size, but should not be treated as a complete installation-clearance requirement.
Owners replacing an existing purifier should therefore record its location and connections before assuming that either of these models is a direct swap. Matching the full product code is useful when specifications from older Sterling or Sapphire pages appear in the same search. The IoT suffix identifies the products compared here.
Storage and output answer different questions
KENT gives both models the same purification rate, while Sapphire has the larger stated storage capacity. The stored volume describes the reserve held by the appliance. The hourly rating describes production under the stated product specification. These figures should not be combined into an assumption that the tank is always full whenever someone opens the tap.
For a home using purified water for both drinking and cooking, that distinction is practical. A short period of heavy use draws on the reserve; replenishing it is a separate process. This comparison does not calculate a refill time because the pages' headline capacities alone do not establish the conditions needed for a dependable real-world timing claim.
Both descriptions list RO, UV, UF, alkaline treatment, copper and TDS control. The brand also advertises digital information on water quality, filter life and RO flow. These are the named systems and monitoring functions. They are not independent test results for the water entering a particular Indian home.
What the connected functions add
The official pages describe mobile monitoring, fault notifications, automatic service-request registration and access to service history. For the owner, the useful distinction is between seeing an alert and having the underlying maintenance completed. A recorded fault or filter-life notice is information that needs to be acted on through the applicable service process.
That makes the service record particularly relevant in a rented home or a kitchen where responsibility for appliance care changes hands. Retaining the model details and maintenance history can help the next user understand what was done. Connectivity does not itself establish that replacement filters or every service expense are included in the purchase price.
Both product pages advertise a one-year warranty with three years of extended free service. The wording separates warranty from service. It should not be shortened to an unconditional multi-year parts warranty. Readers examining another pair of KENT models can see our Ace Plus Neo 2Y and Supreme Plus Neo 2Y comparison; those products have their own names and coverage descriptions.
Our Dreame warranty explainer covers another appliance with distinct coverage terms. For a separate example of reading specifications carefully, see the Crompton Hyperjet power-rating guide. Neither replaces the installation and service information for these purifiers.
