BENGALURU: E3 Electric.Ai says it has started series production of its E3 TRION electric scooter at its Hyderabad plant, and that customer deliveries will begin in batches from 7 October 2026. The company announced the milestone on 5 October 2026 in a post on its official blog, noting that the delivery date falls on its second anniversary.
The Bengaluru-based startup sells the TRION in three variants, named C1, C1X and C2. E3 pitches them at three kinds of buyers: younger riders, families and business users. All three will roll out in phases, and the company lists six colours: Nova Blue, Teal Blue, Graphite Grey, Misty Green, Solar Red and Luna White.
What E3 says it tested before production
According to the company, the scooter went through more than 550 Design Validation Plan tests before the line started. These covered range testing, power checks on a chassis dynamometer and validation of the brake-pressure sensor. Accelerated durability runs were done on a cam drum rig carrying a 205 kg payload.
E3 also lists water-wading trials at depths from 100 mm to 300 mm at different speeds, along with rainstorm and high-pressure wash tests. On the road, the TRION completed a 260 km mixed-terrain round trip from Bengaluru to Hogenakkal and back, which the company says included mountain roads, steep gradients, sharp bends and rough surfaces.
Founder and CEO Sanjeev P said in the company's statement that the brand had set out to build "an intelligent, robust, electric scooter engineered for the real world", and that deliveries would begin with its first 100 customers.
Founding owner perks and the spec sheet
Those first 100 buyers form what E3 calls its founding-owner community. Each gets a complimentary 8Y100K+ extended warranty covering the battery and key components for eight years or 1,00,000 km, whichever comes first, plus one year of E3 Wingman roadside assistance. E3 values the bundle at Rs 6,500 on the C1 with its 2.3 kWh battery and Rs 8,500 on the C1X and C2, which use a 3 kWh pack.
The company homepage lists an IDC range of up to 165 km for the 3 kWh version and 108 km for the 2.3 kWh version, with a separate high-performance figure of 128 km. IDC numbers are test-cycle figures, so real riding range will usually be lower in traffic, with a pillion or at higher speeds. The battery is removable, which matters for riders in apartments without a parking-level socket.
Other hardware on the official site includes 14-inch wheels, dual projector LED headlamps, a frame E3 calls TRIAXISFRAME and a PMSM hub motor with what it describes as a patented weld-free RotoRing design. The app side promises more than 100 connected features, including a health scan of the scooter, live diagnostics, Bluetooth charging control and roadside assistance on a tap. The company also says it has been granted 13 essential technology patents and over 40 IPRs.
E3 runs a savings calculator on its site. On its own assumptions of 50 km a day for 25 days a month, a petrol scooter at 47 km a litre with fuel at Rs 104, and electricity at Rs 9 a unit with the TRION using 28 Wh per km, it puts monthly running cost at about Rs 315 against Rs 2,766 for petrol. Your numbers will move with local tariffs and how you ride.
The homepage reviewed on 6 October 2026, about 10:45 AM IST, did not print ex-showroom prices for the variants, and it mentions 0 percent interest EMI without naming the lender or tenure. Buyers should get the on-road quote, subsidy treatment and finance terms in writing at the Bengaluru experience centre before paying a booking amount.

The first deliveries will tell us more than any brochure. A new brand has to prove its service network, spare parts supply and software updates over months, not days, and early owners will be the ones who find out how the scooter holds up through a monsoon and a full year of commuting.
