NEW DELHI: Ducati lists the Streetfighter V4 from Rs 29,26,000 and the XDiavel V4 from Rs 31,51,000 in India. The Streetfighter therefore opens Rs 2,25,000 lower, calculated from the official figures. The cheaper motorcycle has the higher claimed peak power, while the XDiavel puts cruiser ergonomics at the centre of its design. Price as of 31 October 2026, 23:12 IST; both figures are ex-showroom India.
| Official specification | XDiavel V4 | Streetfighter V4 |
|---|---|---|
| Starting price | Rs 31,51,000 | Rs 29,26,000 |
| Other priced version | Black Lava from Rs 31,83,000 | V4 S from Rs 33,04,000 |
| Claimed peak output | 168 hp | 214 hp |
| Claimed peak torque | 126 Nm | 120 Nm |
| Wet weight without fuel | 229 kg | 191 kg |
The price gap is about a different motorcycle
The XDiavel is the more expensive entry here, yet the Streetfighter claims 46 hp more. The arithmetic is useful because it challenges the idea that every upward step in price buys a larger performance figure. Ducati is charging for two different interpretations of a premium V4 motorcycle, with different bodywork, ergonomics and mechanical priorities.
Their quoted weights follow the same manufacturer convention, wet weight without fuel, making that particular comparison clearer than mixing a dry figure with a fully fuelled one. On those figures, the XDiavel carries 38 kg more. The difference is substantial on paper, although it does not by itself measure steering effort or low-speed confidence.
The XDiavel has the higher listed peak torque. That should not be turned into a claim that it accelerates harder in every gear. Power delivery, gearing and mass all affect the result, and the pages do not provide a controlled side-by-side test. The official numbers describe the engines; they cannot substitute for that missing evidence.
Cruiser posture versus superbike ancestry
Ducati describes a wide handlebar, forward footpegs and a roomy seat on the XDiavel. Those contact points define its relaxed cruiser posture. A central footpeg kit is described as an accessory for riders seeking a sportier position, so it should not be silently included in the starting-price specification.
The Streetfighter uses the Desmosedici Stradale engine and takes its technical direction from Ducati superbikes. The official engine page identifies a 1,103 cc V4. That is a different proposition from the XDiavel Granturismo approach, even though the shared V4 badge can make them sound like closely related trim levels.
For an Indian reader moving between a weekend ride and a longer highway journey, this is the meaningful context: body position is part of the basic design, not an accessory line that can be erased with a higher budget. Neither the more relaxed posture nor the higher output proves better comfort on a particular road.
Read the colour and S premiums separately
The XDiavel product page prices Burning Red from Rs 31,51,000 and Black Lava from Rs 31,83,000. That is a calculated colour-price difference of Rs 32,000. It is a separate question from the gap between the two motorcycle families and should remain a separate line when reading a quotation.
Ducati also lists the Streetfighter V4 S from Rs 33,04,000. The S specification adds electronically controlled Ohlins suspension, forged wheels and a lithium battery. The standard V4 instead lists a Showa fork, Sachs rear suspension and cast aluminium wheels. Both Streetfighter versions retain the same claimed peak output.
That makes this comparison unusually sensitive to the exact version named. The entry Streetfighter is below the opening XDiavel price, while the Streetfighter S is above it. Comparing only the badges without the variant suffix would reverse the apparent price relationship and obscure where the additional equipment sits.
Keep the comparison within its limits
These are starting prices on Ducati India pages, not on-road totals or a statement of immediate delivery. Registration, insurance, selected accessories and the final configuration need their own written breakdown. No finance offer, dealer discount or assumed exchange benefit has been subtracted to create the gap shown here.

For the other side of Ducati performance, our Panigale V2 range guide and Streetfighter V2 price guide cover separate engine families. Those articles provide context without treating a shared Ducati badge as evidence of interchangeable equipment.
