CBSE names Skill Expo venues in Gorakhpur, Lucknow, Ranchi and Gaya for 30 September

CBSE has fixed Wednesday, 30 September 2026, as the date for Skill Expo and Guidance Festival regional events under the Prayagraj, Lucknow, Ranchi and Patna Regional Offices. A Skill Education notification dated 7 September 2026, issued in continuation of Circular Skill-31/2026 dated 13 May 2026, names one venue school for each of the four jurisdictions and sets a short registration clock ahead of the showcase day.

Schools under the Prayagraj Regional Office will use G. D. Goenka Public School, Ramnagar Karjaha, Gorakhpur-Deoria Highway, Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh 273202. Lucknow Regional Office schools will gather at Lucknow Public School (C.P. Singh Foundation), Sector I, LDA Colony, Kanpur Road, Ashiyana, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh 226012. Both campuses are CBSE-affiliated host venues named expressly for this edition of the festival.

Ranchi and Gaya venues, and the registration clock

For the Ranchi Regional Office, the venue is Guru Nanak Higher Secondary School, Pe Pee Compound, Hindpiri Road, Hindpiri, Ranchi, Jharkhand 834001. Patna Regional Office schools are pointed to Delhi Public School, Dubhal, P.O. Chand Chaura, Gaya, Bihar 823001. All four events share the same calendar day: 30 September 2026, which keeps travel and project shipping on one regional weekend rather than staggered mid-week slots.

The notification asks concerned schools of the respective regions to register through the Google form linked in the PDF. Registration closes on Thursday, 24 September 2026. Selected schools for the Skill Expo are to be informed by Friday, 25 September 2026. Queries are to go to skillexpo@cbseshiksha.in, the only help address printed in this venue note.

What this means for schools still deciding

The 7 September note does not rewrite the main Skill Expo circular. It only publishes the four East and Central India venues that Skill-31/2026 left for later intimation. Principals who already planned student projects under themes such as Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming and Comics, Entrepreneurship and Financial Literacy, Media, Design and Communication, Health and Wellness, or Environment and Sustainability can treat 30 September as the regional showcase day for these four offices.

Schools outside Prayagraj, Lucknow, Ranchi and Patna jurisdictions should ignore these four addresses and follow venue notes issued for their own regional offices. Earlier 2026 notifications have already listed other Skill Expo clusters, so the Board is rolling venues region by region rather than in one national list. That approach means skill coordinators must read the jurisdiction column carefully before booking buses.

For logistics, 24 September is the hard registration close printed in the notification. Teams that need bus passes, parent consent letters or display boards should work backwards from that date and from the 25 September selection intimation. Schools that register late risk missing the selected-schools list even if their projects are ready.

Dr Biswajit Saha, Professor and Director (Skill Education), has signed the notification. Affiliated schools under the four named regional offices should circulate the venue addresses, the 30 September date and the 24 September registration deadline to skill coordinators and Class IX-XII project teams without waiting for a second reminder circular.

Parents and students who want to visit as observers should confirm entry rules with the host school after selection emails go out on 25 September. The notification itself is written for participating schools, not for open public ticketing, so visitor access will depend on whatever instructions the Board or the host campus issues closer to 30 September 2026.
