CBSE has published the Skill Expo 2026-27 regional results for events held at Amritsar, Gurugram, Ambala and Shimla. The Skill Education notification dated 7 September 2026 covers schools under the Ludhiana, Gurugram and Panchkula Regional Offices and lists project names, themes and ranks against CBSE affiliation numbers rather than student names. Four regional events feed into three regional offices, with Panchkula covering both the Ambala and Shimla shows.

In all, 17 projects are placed: five at Rank I, six at Rank II and six at Rank III. They span five themes: Media, Design and Communication (five projects), Health and Wellness (four), Entrepreneurship and Financial Literacy (three), Environment and Sustainability (three), and Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming and Comics (two).

Ludhiana region (Amritsar event)

Rank I went to Cyber Drive: Play And Protect in Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming and Comics (affiliation 1630060) and Glare Guard in Entrepreneurship and Financial Literacy (1630007). Smdrishti: The Soul Stitch, from the same school as Cyber Drive, placed second in Media, Design and Communication, and Smart Classroom Management System (780016) placed third in the same theme.

Gurugram region

Gurugram winners are Neurosense (Health and Wellness, Rank I, affiliation 530056), Trustlens Ai (Entrepreneurship and Financial Literacy, Rank II, 530482), Pranvayu (Health and Wellness, Rank II, 530056), Greenify (Environment and Sustainability, Rank III, 531178) and Dadi Ma K Nuskhe (Health and Wellness, Rank III, 532257). Health and Wellness accounts for three of the five Gurugram placings. The school with affiliation 530056 is the only one in this region with two placings.

Panchkula region: Ambala and Shimla events

At the Ambala regional event, Rank I went to Braillifi in Media, Design and Communication (530330). Alcolock, a smart vehicle ignition interlock system (530372), placed second in Health and Wellness. Two projects placed third: an AI autonomous surveillance quadcopter in Environment and Sustainability (530092) and Cloudchakra in Entrepreneurship and Financial Literacy (530088).

Shimla regional winners are The Drawer (Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming and Comics, Rank I, 630148), a heat detection and automatic cooling system (Environment and Sustainability, Rank II, 630211), an Indian Sign Language Translator (Media, Design and Communication, Rank II, 630148) and The Echo Effect (Media, Design and Communication, Rank III, 630134).

Three schools, one each in Ludhiana, Gurugram and Shimla, won two placings each, and in every case one of the two was a Rank I.

Path to the national event in January 2027

CBSE says separate emails have gone to position-holder schools with the names of participating students and their mentors. All regional winners from these four events are now eligible for the National Level Event, proposed tentatively for January 2027. The notification does not give a venue or exact dates for that stage.

The results note is signed by Dr Biswajit Saha, Professor and Director (Skill Education). Copies go to Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, Sainik Schools Society, Eklavya Model Residential Schools and all CBSE regional offices, with a request to pass it to affiliated schools. Affiliation numbers printed in the notification are the identifiers schools should quote in national-stage paperwork.
