CBSE moves School-to-Work National Summit to 26 and 27 October in New Delhi

The 4th National Summit on Facilitating School-to-Work Transition will now run on 26 and 27 October 2026, not on the earlier 23 and 24 September dates. CBSE Skill Education notification dated 3 September 2026 cites administrative reasons for the shift and keeps the venue at Dr Ambedkar International Centre (DAIC), 15 Janpath Road, Windsor Place, New Delhi 110001.

The note continues Circular Skill-42/2026 dated 17 June 2026. Schools and participants who already registered for the September slot do not need to register again. Existing registrations remain valid for the October dates, which protects teams that had already blocked travel budgets or duty leave.

Registration window and who still needed to apply

CBSE reopened the registration link for new applicants and extended the last date for registration up to 15 September 2026. That fresh-registration window has now closed. Anyone who missed both the original list and the 15 September extension will have to watch for any later Board update; the 3 September notification does not promise a third opening.

How schools should recalibrate calendars

September travel plans built around 23-24 September should be cancelled or rebooked for the last week of October. The Board has not changed the New Delhi venue, so hotel and DAIC logistics still centre on Janpath. Principals who nominated counsellors, skill educators or senior secondary students for the summit should confirm that those nominees remain free on 26-27 October 2026.

The summit sits in CBSE skill-education programming alongside regional Skill Expo events. Schools that treat October as a packed assessment month should still keep the two summit days free if they hold a confirmed registration, because the Board has already spent one reschedule and expects registered teams to honour the new dates.

Copy of the notification goes to Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, state directors of education and other jurisdictions, with a request to circulate the October dates. Affiliated schools should replace any September circulars pinned on notice boards with the 26-27 October schedule and the DAIC address.

Teachers who planned September duty leave for related Board events should file revised leave applications where dates have moved and brief escorts so families do not travel on the old calendar.

School notice boards should carry the official notification number and PDF link from cbseacademic.nic.in so staff do not rely on forwarded screenshots without the full venue or date table.

Students named for travel should keep identity proofs and school authorisation letters ready in the format their regional office usually demands for outstation Board programmes.
