CBSE and CVC open poster making contest on Probity for Prosperity till 1 October

CBSE has partnered with the Central Vigilance Commission for a school-level poster making competition that runs from 22 September to 1 October 2026. Circular Acad-62/2026, dated 21 September 2026, asks affiliated schools to host the contest for Classes VIII to XII on the theme Satyanishtha se Samriddhi, rendered in English as Probity for Prosperity, ahead of Vigilance Awareness Week from 26 October to 1 November 2026.

The Board frames the exercise as preventive and participative vigilance delivered through classrooms. Schools must run the competition during school hours under teacher supervision on any date inside the 22 September to 1 October window. Each school evaluates entries locally and uploads only its three best posters to a CBSE link that will appear on cbseacademic.nic.in from 25 September 2026.

Format, webinar and upload clock

Posters must be A2 size in landscape orientation. Medium may be Hindi or English. Plagiarism of any kind attracts immediate disqualification. Each uploaded entry must carry the particulars listed in Annexure A of the circular: topic, student name, class, parent or guardian name, mobile number, email, school name and address, and school contact details. Files may be PDF, JPG or PNG, with a maximum size of 2 MB per entry.

CBSE is organising an awareness webinar on 25 September 2026 at 11:30 AM to brief students and teachers. The circular prints a YouTube live link for that session. Schools should treat 25 September as both the webinar day and the opening of the upload window. Uploads close at 5:00 PM on 1 October 2026. The upload portal itself will be published on the CBSE academic website on 25 September, so coordinators should bookmark that page rather than waiting for a second circular.

How schools should organise the week

Art and social science teachers can fold the contest into regular periods so that Class VIII to XII students do not need an after-school camp. Rubrics printed in Annexure B score originality and creativity, expression and organisation, aesthetic and visual impact, and message relevance to the integrity theme. First-level marking stays inside the school; only three shortlisted posters travel to the Board portal.

Principals should announce the theme and size rule on 22 September, fix one competition day before 1 October, and diary the 25 September webinar for art coordinators. Parent consent for publishing a student's name and mobile number on the response sheet should be collected before upload. Schools that miss the 1 October 5:00 PM close will not get a late portal extension in this circular.

Vigilance Awareness Week itself begins on 26 October 2026. The poster drive is meant to warm classrooms before that week, not to replace school-level VAW activities. Coordinators can keep the three winning posters on display through October so that integrity messaging continues after the upload deadline.
