NEW DELHI: Mahindra's XUV 3XO EV starts at Rs 13.89 lakh ex-showroom in the company's published pricing, against Rs 19.45 lakh for the battery-inclusive BE 6 SPORTEQ ONE. The entry prices describe quite different electric SUVs: the smaller-battery 3XO and a BE 6 with a larger battery and stronger motor. Price as of 30 October 2026, 00:24 IST, using the official figures displayed in lakh.

What the higher entry price changes
The BE 6's battery and output distinguish it from the 3XO before the equipment lists enter the discussion. That matters because the two badges sit under the same manufacturer, but the lower price is not simply a less elaborate trim of the same electric car. The battery capacity and motor specification already establish different starting points.
For an Indian household comparing an everyday commute with occasional intercity travel, the useful question is how much flexibility that larger battery adds to the actual route. A larger capacity can provide more room for energy use, but capacity alone cannot establish the distance either vehicle will cover with passengers, luggage and air-conditioning. This comparison is based on published specifications, without an independent road test.
Range labels need separate treatment
Mahindra's current FAQ quotes up to 573 km MIDC range for the BE 6 SPORTEQ with the smaller battery. Its 3XO launch announcement instead highlights a manufacturer-claimed real-world range of up to 285 km. Those differently described figures should not be subtracted to produce a supposedly measured advantage. Neither is a promise for a particular family's journey.
A route comparison should keep charging stops, road conditions and the available reserve in view. Repeating a brochure range without its test label would make this pair look easier to compare than it is. The official numbers establish the manufacturer's claims; they do not supply a common road-test result.
The entry trims do not contain every advertised feature
The XUV 3XO EV AX5 includes dual-zone climate control and a rear camera. The AX7L adds Level 2 driver assistance and a surround-view camera. Those additions are relevant to the comparison because an entry-price headline does not describe the fully equipped 3XO.
There is a similar distinction within SPORTEQ. Mahindra's August announcement places the triple-screen cockpit from TWO onwards, with the Formula E Freedom Edition retaining a different cockpit arrangement. The ONE entry price therefore cannot be used as the price of the triple-screen specification. Equipment has to be matched to a named trim before a price difference becomes meaningful.
The price ladder also leaves a useful comparison between the better-equipped 3XO and the entry BE 6. Mahindra publishes Rs 14.96 lakh for the AX7L, still below the SPORTEQ ONE's battery-inclusive entry figure. That makes the trade-off specific: the 3XO can add its advertised assistance and camera equipment while remaining below the larger-battery car's starting price. It does not make those features substitutes for battery capacity; they answer different needs within the same household budget.
Battery financing changes the payment structure
The BE 6 SPORTEQ also has a Rs 11.45 lakh entry figure under battery financing. Mahindra describes that programme as a dual-loan finance product rather than pay-per-use rental. The lower displayed figure leaves a separately financed battery obligation, so it is not the like-for-like cash purchase figure used in the table.
This is especially relevant when an electric-car search puts an upfront finance advertisement alongside a battery-inclusive price. The apparent order of affordability can change merely because the two amounts describe different obligations. A comparison needs the vehicle, battery and charging equipment on the same accounting basis before discussing monthly repayments.
