NEW DELHI: Bajaj lists the Pulsar N160 at Rs 1,22,106 to Rs 1,42,585, ex-showroom Delhi, across five variants. The range begins with the N160 SD USD Single Seat and ends with the N160 SS USD Split Seat. The S and SS use a different engine specification from the three lower-priced versions.

How the price list is organised

The table reproduces the variant names used in Bajaj's comparison section. Keeping those names intact matters because the N160 badge now covers different seating layouts, engine specifications and equipment packages. A quotation described simply as an N160 does not identify which of these motorcycles it covers.

Bajaj's separate price page also shows Rs 1,22,106 as the Delhi entry price. Although that page has an on-road-price heading, the amount beside the motorcycle is explicitly labelled ex-showroom. It should therefore retain that label when used in a price comparison.

The figures here are the listed vehicle prices. No finance instalment, exchange value or promotional deduction has been used to lower them. An on-road quotation needs its own itemised total, and the public ex-showroom figure alone cannot establish that amount.

The engine change starts with the S

The first three entries retain the air-cooled, two-valve engine. Bajaj rates their peak output at 16 PS at 8,750 rpm. The single-seat and split-seat descriptions distinguish their layouts, but the comparison table gives them the same displacement and peak-power figures.

For the N160 S and N160 SS, the manufacturer lists an oil-cooled, four-valve engine producing 18.5 PS at 9,500 rpm. Those figures show why the S suffix deserves attention: it marks a change in the powertrain specification, as well as a change in equipment.

Bajaj's announcement for the S and SS describes electronic throttle control and crawl technology. The latter is intended to make low-speed progress easier with less repeated clutch and gear operation. That is a description of the system's purpose, rather than a measured assessment of its performance in Delhi traffic.

Where the SS adds equipment

The SS is the version identified with a colour TFT dashboard and Google Maps mirroring in the launch announcement. Bajaj also assigns responsive traction control to this model. These features should be associated with the named variant, rather than automatically attached to every N160 listing.

The current product FAQ distinguishes the consoles further: the S has a colour LCD, while the SS has a TFT. It is a useful distinction when two motorcycles share the more powerful engine but present information differently to the rider.

The launch document also describes revised graphics, coloured alloy wheels and changes to the riding position on the SS. Those are equipment and design claims from the manufacturer. They do not establish a universal comfort advantage, which would depend on the rider and actual use.

What the dedicated specification sheet covers

Bajaj's separate technical page is headed N160 Dual Channel Split Seat USD. Its measurements apply to that named configuration. The sheet lists a five-speed transmission, a 14-litre fuel tank and a seat height of 795 mm, giving this particular trim a more complete technical identity.

For the same configuration, the sheet specifies a 300 mm front disc and a 230 mm rear disc, with dual-channel ABS and ride modes. It also identifies a reverse monochrome LCD with turn-by-turn navigation. These details explain why the middle entry needs to be read independently of the flagship.

A price list is most useful when the model name, seating layout and equipment description stay together. The table provides that reference for the Delhi listings checked here. It does not treat all N160 advertisements as interchangeable or turn the manufacturer's performance claims into a road-test verdict.
