NEW DELHI: Bajaj lists a loading tray measuring 1,840 mm long and 1,425 mm wide for both fuel versions of the Maxima C. Those measurements are the starting point for checking whether a delivery load fits. They do not, by themselves, establish how much weight the vehicle can legally carry or which body conversion will suit a particular job.

Bring the packaging dimensions to the vehicle

Measure the goods in the form in which they will travel, including their cartons, crates or protective wrapping. A product's own dimensions may be smaller than its delivery package. Take those measurements to the vehicle inspection and ask to see the usable space with the sides, tailgate and any proposed body equipment in their working positions.

For a practical fit check, draw the proposed arrangement on paper before counting a full load. Mark which packages must remain upright, which may be stacked and which need access at intermediate stops. A neat arrangement that works only when every carton is unloaded together may be inconvenient for a route serving several shops.

Ask the seller to confirm how the published tray dimensions were measured. The product page labels them as tray size; this guide does not reclassify them as guaranteed clear internal measurements. Where a close fit matters, measure the delivered body itself. Hinges, closures or an added enclosure should be part of that conversation rather than discovered after the route has been promised.

Do not confuse floor space with carrying weight

A floor plan answers a space question. A loading assessment must also answer a weight question. Ask for the applicable permitted figures and loading instructions for the exact vehicle and body configuration. Do not estimate a payload by filling the visible tray, and do not treat a taller enclosure as permission to carry additional weight.

That distinction is particularly useful when comparing two deliveries with different packaging. An awkwardly shaped light item may use much of the available floor, while compact goods may reach the applicable weight limit first. This is a planning example, not a certified capacity claim for either load. Weigh the actual consignment and verify the arrangement before assigning it to the vehicle.

Bajaj presents the Maxima C as a cargo vehicle with configurable loading applications. Ask what is included in the particular offer: an open tray, a proposed enclosure or other equipment. Request a drawing and a written description for any body work being discussed, so that the body maker and vehicle seller are answering the same question.

Compare CNG and diesel after checking the load

The product page gives the same tray measurements for CNG and diesel, while listing different engines and clutches. A buyer therefore needs to keep the loading-space check separate from the fuel decision. A photograph of a similar body does not establish that the quotation covers the same powertrain or the same completed vehicle.

For a wider look at how fuel and body descriptions appear in commercial-vehicle listings, see our Maruti Tour H1 price list: Rs 3,99,900 to Rs 4,81,900. Our Maruti Tour H3 price list: Rs 4,98,900 to Rs 5,88,900 and Bajaj Chetak price list: Rs 99,802 to Rs 1,53,850 for all five models in Bengaluru cover other goods carriers. Use their model descriptions as separate references, rather than transferring their capacities to this three-wheeler.

Before delivery, prepare a short acceptance sheet with the exact fuel version, body description and agreed dimensions. Check the proposed loading and unloading method with the people who will handle the goods. An owner who drives alone may need a different access arrangement from a business where a helper unloads at each stop.

Finally, keep the approved loading instructions with the vehicle papers and ask for clarification of any modification before work begins. The useful outcome is a documented match between the vehicle, the body and the consignment. A catalogue tray measurement is valuable evidence for that process, but it should not be stretched into a claim about every possible delivery application.
