NEW DELHI: The third-generation Honda Amaze brochure describes Anytime Warranty up to a maximum vehicle age of 10 years or 1,20,000 kilometres, with renewal every year. That wording does not give every new Amaze an automatic decade of cover. Owners need to distinguish the standard warranty, any purchased extension and the renewable Anytime arrangement.
| Warranty point | Official Amaze information |
|---|---|
| Standard cover in model announcement | 3 years, unlimited kilometres |
| Anytime Warranty upper age | 10 years |
| Anytime Warranty distance limit | 1,20,000 kilometres |
| Continuation | Renewal every year |
| Where to read the detailed terms | Owner's manual, warranty booklet or extension document |
The distinction matters for a compact sedan that may remain in the household through changing commutes and several service cycles. A short daily journey and frequent highway travel produce different odometer histories. A policy that uses both age and distance needs both details, even when the original standard warranty was advertised with unlimited kilometres.
The brochure's footnote defines the headline
Honda's current Amaze brochure states that the Anytime arrangement is extendable through annual renewal and applies from the car's purchase date. The upper age is therefore tied to the vehicle's age. Taking out a later warranty does not establish a fresh period of the same length starting on that later date.
For an owner checking existing cover, the first task is documentary. Locate the sale invoice, warranty booklet and any renewal or extension certificate. Read the exact start and end dates on the relevant document before relying on a general brochure. The advertised maximum and the cover actually purchased answer different questions.
Honda's Elevate warranty guide concerns another model. Its terms should not be copied into an Amaze claim. Even within the same manufacturer's range, a model brochure and an individual warranty document need to stay attached to the vehicle they describe.
Identify which Amaze the paperwork covers
Honda currently lists the New Amaze and Amaze - 2nd Gen separately. The current third-generation brochure identifies V, VX and ZX grades with manual and CVT choices. Keeping the generation and full variant description visible helps avoid applying a document for a different car with the same model name.
This is especially useful when records are stored as photographs on several phones or when an owner inherits the household's service paperwork. Put the registration details, sale date and warranty certificates together. Record the odometer reading when seeking an eligibility assessment rather than relying on an approximate annual distance.
Our Amaze safety guide addresses grade equipment, a separate topic. A feature appearing in a sales brochure does not establish the treatment of a future repair. The relevant warranty terms and diagnosis still have to be read.
Use the calculator as an assessment tool
Honda's public warranty calculator asks for the warranty type, car model, standard warranty period, purchase date and current odometer reading. Those fields show why a model name alone is insufficient for an individual answer. The page does not provide a universal published Amaze premium without those selections.
The extended-warranty enquiry page separately asks for a warranty start date and odometer reading. An enquiry form is not proof that an application has been accepted or a policy is active. Keep the issued document and payment record once an arrangement is completed; a screenshot of the initial form serves a different purpose.
No warranty purchase price is quoted here because the public pages checked did not expose a verified premium for an exact Amaze and policy. An owner comparing documents should keep the duration, distance condition and applicable terms beside the price, rather than treating a low quoted amount as a complete description of cover.
Prepare the fault description separately
If a problem arises, note what happened, when it occurred and what the instrument display showed. Keep that symptom record separate from the eligibility documents. The former explains the complaint; the latter establishes which warranty arrangement needs assessment. Neither alone guarantees a particular repair outcome.
The City and Amaze comparison provides purchase context. For continued ownership, the narrower question is whether the actual warranty document remains active for the vehicle's age and distance. The annual-renewal wording is the important condition behind the Amaze's advertised Anytime maximum.
