Volvo Car India has confirmed an introductory ex-showroom price of Rs 1.26 crore for the EX90, valid for bookings made by 31 December 2026. The company's 12 October announcement gives Indian buyers a booking deadline for the six-seat electric SUV, but does not establish a delivery date for each order.

The price as of 13 October 2026, 05:53 IST, is supported by Volvo's India announcement and current model specifications. It is an ex-showroom figure, so it should not be treated as the final amount payable in a particular city. Registration, insurance and any selected additions require an itemised quotation.

Six seats and an all-wheel-drive powertrain

The India specification page lists the Twin Motor EX90 with all-wheel drive, a 106 kWh nominal battery and an 800 V electrical system. Output is stated at 335 kW, or 456 hp, with 670 Nm of torque. Volvo's claimed 0 to 100 km/h time is 5.5 seconds, while top speed is listed at 180 km/h.

Volvo describes a six-seat cabin with heated and ventilated front seats, ten-point massage and adjustable lumbar support. Its India interior page also lists dual-chamber air suspension and Bowers & Wilkins audio. Buyers comparing another market's EX90 should check seating and equipment carefully rather than assume that every overseas configuration matches the Indian car.

With all seat rows raised, Volvo lists maximum rear luggage space of 377 litres, alongside a 46-litre front compartment. Carrying six occupants therefore still leaves some luggage capacity, although whether it fits a household's usual bags is best checked in person. The Indian model is 5,037 mm long with a 2,985 mm wheelbase.

Digital equipment described on the India pages includes a 14.5-inch centre touchscreen, a nine-inch driver display and a head-up display. Google services are built in, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are listed. The features page also describes wireless phone charging at up to 15 W and up to six USB-C ports.

Read the range and charging fine print

The prominent 625 km range figure needs a qualification. Volvo's India overview footnote describes it as a preliminary WLTP result based on a seven-seat version, with certification pending. The India specification lists six seats. The website figure should therefore not be presented as a certified Indian range result for the exact car on sale.

Volvo's charging specification table gives an estimated 22 minutes for a 10 to 80 per cent DC charge using a 350 kW charger. It also lists an 11 kW onboard charger and about 10 hours for a full AC charge with three-phase, 16 A supply. These are manufacturer-stated conditions, rather than a promise for every public or home charger.

There is a further detail to resolve before relying on a charging plan: a separate overview footnote refers to 250 kW, while the India specification table uses 350 kW. A buyer should obtain the charging specification for the supplied car and confirm the installation requirements. Battery temperature, available charger output and the starting charge level can affect the actual session.

Driver assistance and warranty terms

Volvo describes driver-understanding and occupant-sensing systems, a door-opening alert and Pilot Assist. These are assistance features, not a declaration that the EX90 drives autonomously. The driver remains responsible for supervising the vehicle and using each feature within its operating limits.

Volvo India's general battery-electric vehicle warranty runs for three years or 1,00,000 km, whichever comes first, from first retail delivery. It covers manufacturing defects subject to its terms. A model-specific traction-battery warranty was not established in the available India announcement, so that document should be requested separately.

The booking announcement does not confirm a bundled home charger, a service package or a guaranteed resale value. Those items should appear explicitly in a written order if offered. An introductory booking deadline alone does not answer when a car will arrive or what cancellation conditions apply.

For other current premium-EV developments, Dalimss News has covered Mercedes CLA delivery timelines and Porsche Cayenne Electric deliveries in India. For the EX90, the next decision depends on the exact six-seat specification, confirmed charging arrangements and a dealer-backed delivery commitment.
