Varanasi Records Warmest Night in Uttar Pradesh as Temperatures Rise Above Normal

Varanasi recorded the warmest night in the state, with temperatures rising significantly above normal levels. On Monday, the minimum temperature in the city reached 21.6°C, which is 6.3 degrees higher than the normal temperature for this time of the year.
The maximum daytime temperature also climbed above normal, reaching 34.9°C, around 3.8 degrees higher than the seasonal average. According to weather experts, warm easterly winds blowing at a speed of 6–8 km per hour have increased humidity levels in the region, making the weather feel more uncomfortable.
Meteorologists say the temperature may rise further over the next three days, possibly increasing by up to 2°C. The warmer conditions are being influenced by a weather trough extending from Bihar to Marathwada, which is affecting parts of eastern Uttar Pradesh.
Because of this weather pattern, light fog and haze may appear during the morning hours in the coming days. However, a western disturbance expected to become active around March 14 could bring a change in weather conditions.
Experts indicate that temperatures may start to drop after March 14, and there is a possibility of rainfall in the district around March 15, which could provide some relief from the rising heat and humidity.
