In a significant administrative move aimed at improving urban management and police efficiency, Mohit Agarwal has launched an initiative to address the long-standing issue of seized vehicles lying unattended across Varanasi.

For years, police stations in the city have struggled with limited space due to the accumulation of confiscated vehicles, many of which remained parked for extended periods both inside and outside station premises. This not only created congestion but also affected the overall organization and cleanliness of these facilities.

Recognizing the seriousness of the issue, the administration, in coordination with the District Magistrate, has allocated approximately two acres of land to the police department. This designated space will be developed into a centralized dumping yard where all seized vehicles will be stored systematically.

Officials have confirmed that construction work, particularly the boundary wall of the site, is progressing rapidly. Once completed, the facility will allow authorities to relocate vehicles from various police stations to a single, organized location.

The initiative is expected to significantly ease space constraints at police stations, streamline operations, and improve record management. Additionally, it will contribute to better urban aesthetics by removing abandoned and damaged vehicles from public view.

Authorities believe that this step will not only enhance operational efficiency within the police department but also reflect positively on the city’s image as it continues to modernize its infrastructure and governance systems.
