VARANASI: Four contract recruitment notices issued on Friday, October 30, 2026, invite applications for deployment at Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital and Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya Cancer Centre in Varanasi, including the Sundarpur cancer centre. The posts cover genetic counselling, operation theatre teaching, clinical research management and biomedical waste work, with online applications closing on Friday, November 6, at 5 pm IST.
For local applicants, the immediate task is to match their degree and experience to the individual advertisement and use its application link. All four notices identify SBC Exports Ltd. as the outsourcing agency supplying manpower to the hospitals. The terms describe contract appointments, so applicants should read the tenure attached to each position before applying.
The genetic counsellor, tutor and research project manager appointments initially run for six months, with possible extension depending on performance and the institute's requirements. The biomedical waste locum appointment has a different limit: it is valid only until March 13, 2027. That end date should not be replaced with the six month term used in the other notices.
Which qualifications match each post
The genetic counsellor advertisement, OS/VAR/2026/52, lists one post with consolidated monthly remuneration of Rs 35,000. It accepts a master's qualification in genetic counselling, human or medical genetics, life sciences, psychology, nursing or MSW, together with at least one year of genetic counselling experience. The age limit is 35 years as on the last application date.
The tutor vacancy, OS/VAR/2026/51, is for Operation Theatre Techniques. It lists one post paying Rs 45,000 a month and requires a BSc in Operation Theatre Technique or an equivalent qualification from a recognised university, with one year of experience. Its age limit is also 35 years on the application closing date.
The research project manager notice, OS/VAR/2026/49, lists one post with an age limit of 50 years. A postgraduate degree with a postgraduate diploma in clinical research, an MSc in clinical research or an equivalent qualification is listed alongside a mandatory three years of clinical research experience. The postgraduate route carries consolidated remuneration of Rs 55,000 a month.
The same manager notice also provides a graduate qualification route with a postgraduate diploma in clinical research or equivalent qualification and three years of clinical research experience. For that route, it lists Rs 45,000 a month for three years of experience, Rs 50,000 for four years, and Rs 55,000 for five years or more. Applicants should identify the qualification and experience combination that applies to them.
The biomedical waste scientific assistant locum notice, OS/VAR/2026/50, lists one post. One eligibility route is a BSc in any stream with 50 percent marks, a degree or diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology and one year of experience in an institutional laboratory. The alternative is a BSc in Medical Laboratory Technology with 50 percent marks and at least two years of institutional laboratory experience. Experience in biomedical waste treatment receives preference.
For the locum post, applicants should consult the original notice carefully for the age and remuneration entries because its PDF table has alignment problems in extracted text. Those two entries are not reproduced here. The qualification routes, preference, closing time and March 13 appointment limit are stated separately in the document.
What applicants should do
Start with the official Tata Memorial Centre careers list and open the matching advertisement number. The genetic counsellor notice and tutor notice each contain their own online application link. Send the application through the route specified for the chosen post; these notices require online candidature.
Applicants are initially screened using information supplied in the form. Those called for interview must bring original documents supporting their date of birth, qualifications and experience. Incomplete applications can be rejected. Internal candidates must obtain a no objection certificate from their current head of department, officer in charge or principal investigator.
Use a valid email address and check it for interview information. The notices say correspondence and the interview date will be sent by email to eligible candidates. They also place responsibility for receiving, downloading and printing relevant documents on the applicant. Outstation candidates are told that accommodation will not be provided.
Keep these notices separate from other hospital calls
This October 30 group is separate from the previously reported November 3 medical officer walk-in. Readers can also consult our earlier October recruitment coverage and cancer hospital patient guide for dated background. Current applicants should follow the specific October 30 advertisement for their chosen post.
