UP Voter List Shock: Muslim Areas Se Zyada BJP Ke Garh Mein Kate Vote, SIR Ke Baad Bade Khulase

Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh — The final voter list released after the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in Uttar Pradesh has revealed surprising political trends, especially for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
According to data, more voter names were deleted in BJP stronghold districts compared to Muslim-majority areas, challenging earlier assumptions.
Reports indicate that around 2.04 crore names were removed from the voter list during the SIR process, leading to an overall decline of about 13% in total voters.
In key BJP-dominated districts such as Lucknow, Ghaziabad, Prayagraj, and Kanpur, voter cuts ranged between 18% to 23%, making these regions the most affected.
In contrast, districts with higher Muslim populations like Bijnor, Moradabad, Saharanpur, and Muzaffarnagar saw comparatively lower deletions, with cuts around 10% to 12%.
The findings are being seen as politically significant, as these BJP strongholds have historically played a crucial role in elections. Analysts suggest that such a trend could impact strategies for upcoming polls.
The SIR exercise was carried out to remove duplicate, shifted, and deceased voters, ensuring a cleaner and more accurate electoral roll. However, the final data has sparked debate over its political implications.
