The same capacity describes different cooking spaces

The useful distinction for an Indian kitchen is where the food sits. Consider a household preparing paneer starters and a separate snack for guests. A basket arrangement and an oven tray arrangement create different loading and serving routines. The shared capacity label cannot tell the cook how neatly those foods will fit, or how much space their particular recipe needs around each piece.

AirChef is specified with a transparent window, an internal lamp and multiple cooking levels. Prestige lists a grill tray, baking tray, frying basket, rotisserie assembly and handle. That is an oven-style accessory set, with the rotisserie giving this particular model a role beyond a conventional pull-out basket appliance.

Air Duo instead advertises dual baskets and a foldable control panel. Its page states dimensions of 48.5 x 32.5 x 39.5 cm. Those details matter when deciding where it could live between cooking sessions. The published description alone does not establish basket-by-basket capacity, independent heating arrangements or synchronised finishing, so those features should not be assumed.

What the extra price establishes

The premium pays for a different listed design and specification, rather than a larger stated total volume. Read the model names alongside the photographs and included accessories. Someone replacing a small oven may be asking a different question from someone who wants separate baskets for meal components, even when both start their search with the same capacity filter.

AirChef provides temperature adjustment from 80 to 200 degrees Celsius and carries a one-year manufacturer warranty on its listing. Its door is described as removable. That makes access for cleaning a concrete part of the specification, although it is not evidence that every tray or accessory can go into a dishwasher.

The power ratings also need careful interpretation. A rating describes the appliance specification, while an electricity bill depends on use. Neither page supplies a matched cooking test for these two products. There is no sound basis here for declaring which will cost less to run, finish dinner sooner or produce better results with the same ingredients.

Plan the meal and the counter together

For a practical comparison, sketch the meal rather than counting presets. Think about whether the foods need the same temperature, whether they can share a cooking space, and how they will be removed when hot. These are planning questions, not claims that either appliance can complete a particular recipe in a guaranteed time. The manual should settle loading limits and operating instructions.

Also leave somewhere to put the hot basket or tray and somewhere for the uncooked food. A kitchen counter that holds the appliance may still be awkward during service. This is especially relevant to the AirChef rotisserie kit and the Air Duo basket layout, because their removable components need handling space beyond the appliance footprint.

For smaller air fryers, see our Appliance price guide. Our Philips NA130/00 vs NA120/00 price: NA120/00 starts lower at Rs 4,699 covers another pair of cooking layouts. The Philips NA352/00 vs NA342/00 price: NA342/00 starts lower at Rs 14,499 separately explains why a product specification and a store return policy answer different questions.

AirChef's product-information table lists dimensions of 36 x 36 x 38cm, a 37 x 37 x 42cm package and a 230V supply. The listing identifies its finish as Rose Gold and states ISI certification. Air Duo's description identifies a vertically stacked basket design, and its warranty instructions specify one year of cover.
