NEW DELHI: OnePlus 13R starts at Rs 42,999 against Rs 69,999 for OnePlus 13 on the company's India specification pages. The Rs 27,000 difference compares matching 12GB RAM and 256GB storage configurations. It buys a different processor, camera system and charging package, rather than simply more memory.

The memory comparison stays unusually clean
Both shared memory configurations carry the same Rs 27,000 gap. Moving from 12GB + 256GB to 16GB + 512GB adds Rs 7,000 within either model. That makes this a useful comparison for Indian households discussing a phone budget: the extra spend on OnePlus 13 is not explained by a larger storage allocation at those two levels.
The additional OnePlus 13 configuration needs separate treatment. Its 24GB + 1TB version is listed in Black Eclipse, while the 13R specification page stops at 16GB + 512GB. Putting that top model against the cheapest 13R would mix a hardware comparison with a substantial memory change.
Camera reach changes more than the megapixel label
The OnePlus 13 combines a Sony LYT-808 main camera with a Sony LYT-600 telephoto camera. The 13R uses a Sony LYT-700 main sensor and a different telephoto unit. Both telephoto cameras have a 50MP label, but their stated optical zoom ratios differ. The regular flagship reaches 3x, while the R model specifies 2x.
There is another distinction for group photographs and interiors: OnePlus lists a 50MP ultrawide camera on the 13 and an 8MP ultrawide on the 13R. That is a concrete difference in the camera specification. It does not, by itself, establish how either phone will expose a difficult indoor scene or preserve faces at the edge of a photograph.
For a family function, the practical question is which view is needed from the place where the photographer can stand. A tighter telephoto view and a wider group view solve different framing problems. This is why the three-camera breakdown is more informative here than a headline claiming that both phones have a 50MP camera.
Equal battery capacity, different charging equipment
Both phones list a typical capacity of 6,000mAh. OnePlus 13 specifies 100W wired charging and 50W AIRVOOC wireless charging. OnePlus 13R specifies 80W SUPERVOOC. The shared capacity should not be read as a promise of identical battery life, because these phones have different processors and displays.
The screens also separate them. The 13 specification lists a 6.82-inch panel with 3168 x 1440 resolution; the 13R lists 6.78 inches and 2780 x 1264. Both describe a dynamic refresh range from 1Hz to 120Hz. Those figures explain the hardware distinction without treating a maximum refresh rate as a measurement of everyday app speed.
For readers comparing saved product listings, the model suffix matters. A quotation for the R model cannot stand in for the regular flagship, even when the memory figures look identical. Match the full model name before comparing totals.
Keep price, specification and service questions separate
This comparison concerns the published hardware and MRPs of these two models. It is not a new launch announcement. Readers checking the wider range can use our OnePlus phone price list, while the Nord family comparison covers a different set of phones.
Owners with a display fault should read the separate OnePlus 13 green-line repair guide. A service entitlement and a phone's advertised purchase price answer different questions and should be checked independently.
The USB entries differ: OnePlus 13 lists USB 3.2 Gen 1, while the 13R lists USB 2.0. Both use Type-C connectors. The 13 specification names an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor; the 13R names an optical in-display sensor. Both sheets list Bluetooth 5.4 and NFC.
The India declarations identify OPPO Mobiles India Private Limited as manufacturer, at Plot No. 1, Sector Ecotech VII, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh 201306. Both list India as country of origin. Their box contents include a SUPERVOOC power adapter, Type-A to C cable, protective case, quick start guide and SIM tray ejector.
