NEW DELHI: Keeway specifies a 690 mm seat height for the V302C, pairing that low seating position with a 298 cc V-twin and belt final drive. The combination defines the motorcycle more accurately than its bobber styling alone. The Indian specification also lists rear shock absorbers, so the hard-tail appearance should not be mistaken for an absence of rear suspension.

The seat figure answers a limited question

A low saddle is relevant when a rider puts a foot down, but the published height cannot establish an individual's reach to the ground. Seat shape, riding position and the rider's own proportions remain part of that fit. The V302C's figure is a useful physical reference, not a guarantee that every rider will find the motorcycle equally manageable.

Keeway's India description emphasises wide, flat handlebars and a low stance. That makes the ergonomics central to the model's identity. An upright photograph of the bike cannot tell a reader how the reach to the bars feels with their arms relaxed, or how easily they can turn the steering while seated.

For Indian use, the telling moment may be a tight parking space or a sloping entrance rather than an open stretch of road. The sensible interpretation of the low-seat specification is therefore about access and position. It should not be expanded into an unsupported claim about handling, balance or confidence in every low-speed situation.

A belt after the gearbox

The international technical page independently identifies the belt transmission, six-speed gearbox and wet multi-plate clutch. That is a conventional geared motorcycle layout with a belt as the final-drive element. The presence of a belt does not turn the V302C into an automatic scooter or remove the clutch and gear-changing tasks.

The same global page specifies fuel injection and liquid cooling. Its engine description identifies a two-cylinder, four-stroke, eight-valve arrangement. Those mechanical details give the V302C a different character on paper from a small single-cylinder motorcycle, even where both might be grouped together under a broad cruiser or retro label.

A maintenance claim requires more than the name of the drive system. The opened product pages do not establish an Indian belt-replacement interval or a lifetime maintenance exemption. Accordingly, this explainer does not attach a distance or cost saving to the belt, and it should not be read as a maintenance procedure.

The rear suspension is real

Keeway's international page describes dual rear shock absorbers with adjustable preload. Its Spanish-language technical page also lists that arrangement and an inverted telescopic fork at the front. These descriptions support a clear distinction between the motorcycle's rigid-looking visual treatment and the suspension hardware actually fitted.

The distinction matters because appearance can create expectations about comfort before a rider sits on the motorcycle. Neither the bobber label nor the existence of rear springs is a verified ride-quality result. Comfort depends on more than whether a suspension component is visible, and the official pages do not supply a comparative road test.

The Spanish and international pages additionally agree on alloy wheels, a 300 mm front disc and a 240 mm rear disc with ABS. The India page identifies dual-channel ABS. These are useful pieces of the chassis picture, alongside the front and rear tyre sizes of 120/80-16 and 150/80-15 published for India.

Keep the Indian specification in view

Some dimensions differ between Keeway's regional pages, so the table here uses the Indian listing. A foreign-market specification can help confirm the broad mechanical layout without automatically becoming the authority for every Indian measurement. The same principle applies to accessories and equipment shown in promotional photographs.

For the V302C, the useful starting point remains its low saddle, geared V-twin powertrain and actual suspended chassis, considered together.
