Kashi Vidyapith VC Professor Anand Kumar Tyagi Walks to Office to Promote Fuel Conservation

Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith Vice Chancellor Professor Anand Kumar Tyagi on Thursday walked from his residence to the university office, inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Lifestyle for Environment” campaign and appeal for energy conservation.
Through this initiative, the Vice Chancellor gave a message of environmental protection and fuel conservation. He said reducing the use of petrol and diesel is the need of the hour, as it would help save foreign exchange and reduce pollution levels.
Professor Tyagi emphasized that when responsible members of society set examples themselves, awareness spreads faster and positive change becomes visible. He appealed to teachers, employees, and students of the university to use bicycles, walk, or opt for public transport at least one day every week.
He added that small efforts collectively contribute towards the vision of a developed and greener India.
Several university officials, including Registrar Dr. Sunita Pandey, Dean of Student Welfare Professor Rajesh Kumar Mishra, Additional Proctor Dr. Ambarish Rai, and Chief Warden Dr. Nagendra Kumar Singh, also joined the initiative and walked to the office from their residence.
