NEW DELHI: Infinix lists the Zero 40 5G at Rs 27,999 with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, and Rs 30,999 with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. The official store's variant selector provides the full price spread. Both memory tiers carry the same physical RAM label, so the higher listing is a storage upgrade.
| Memory variant | Official listed price | Difference |
|---|---|---|
| 12GB RAM, 256GB storage | Rs 27,999 | Base configuration |
| 12GB RAM, 512GB storage | Rs 30,999 | More storage, same RAM |

The storage difference matters for video
The Zero 40's official pitch centres on recording from either side of the handset. Infinix advertises 4K recording at 60fps for the front and rear cameras, together with a 50MP front camera and a 108MP main camera with optical image stabilisation. That makes the capacity distinction unusually relevant to the way this model is presented.
A person filming themselves explaining a recipe, then switching to the preparation on a table, is using the feature set quite differently from somebody making occasional video calls. The former workflow creates material that must be kept, checked and edited. Storage is part of that workflow even before the finished clip leaves the phone.
Think of the larger configuration as extra working room. Original takes, alternative cuts and an exported version can coexist during an editing session. Deleting unsuccessful takes or transferring originals changes that requirement. A capacity table cannot decide a person's workflow, but it can show exactly which part of the hardware changes between listings.
The same reasoning prevents a misleading performance claim. The larger storage label does not establish that a video editor will process an effect more quickly. This guide has not timed an export or measured sustained recording behaviour. It therefore treats the configurations as capacity choices, without attaching an untested speed advantage to the higher price.
What the camera figures can establish
The front-camera emphasis is a specific distinction here. Many personal recordings involve a presenter facing the display so they can monitor framing. The headline recording specification is relevant to that use, but it should still be checked against the camera mode selected on the device before an important shoot.
Resolution and frame rate answer different questions. Resolution describes the image dimensions available in a mode; frame rate concerns the sequence of frames recorded over time. Neither establishes how a clip will look in a dim room, how clearly speech will be captured or whether the chosen publishing service will preserve the original file.
Similarly, optical stabilisation on the main camera is a named hardware feature, not a substitute for testing a walking shot. Our price table does not convert it into a guarantee of steady footage in every situation. Readers comparing camera phones should distinguish a manufacturer's capability statement from a measured result.
The display is shared across the listings
Infinix advertises a curved AMOLED display reaching 144Hz and a typical 5000mAh battery. The page does not identify a different display for the larger storage option. The visible memory ladder therefore gives no basis for describing the upper tier as a separate screen or camera edition.
The store page also contains conflicting chipset and charging entries between its specification blocks and FAQs. Those figures are excluded here. A complete price table can be reported from the selector without resolving unrelated contradictions by silently choosing the most attractive specification.
For an owner looking at a listing, the useful sequence is to identify the exact model, read physical RAM and storage separately, and then check the chosen recording mode against their needs. Colour, promotional memory expansion and a large camera number should not obscure the configuration actually attached to the displayed amount.
