NEW DELHI: Infinix Note 40 5G is listed at Rs 17,999 for 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, while the selected Note Edge with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage costs Rs 28,999. The Note 40 therefore costs Rs 11,000 less than that Note Edge configuration and includes more storage. Infinix's catalogue separately advertises Note Edge from Rs 26,999.

Price as of 26 October 2026, 14:21 IST. Prices include taxes and exclude any subtraction for bank or exchange benefits. The catalogue's starting figure is kept separate because it does not identify the selected memory configuration in that listing. It is not being assigned to a variant here.
The storage comparison favours the cheaper listing
The selected configurations make the price difference easier to interpret. Both specify the same physical RAM, while the Note 40 provides twice the listed storage. This is not a case where a smaller capacity alone explains the lower price.
For someone keeping large local photo folders or downloaded entertainment, storage is a practical difference. It does not determine camera quality or processing speed, but it does change the space available before files have to be moved elsewhere. The table keeps that distinction visible.
The Note Edge selector includes other capacities, so its displayed configuration should not be confused with its entire range. This article compares the verified selected products and separately reports the catalogue's entry figure. It does not extrapolate prices for configurations that were not successfully selected.
Screen resolution and charging take different paths
The Note Edge has a curved AMOLED screen with a published resolution of 1208 by 2644 pixels. The Note 40's AMOLED display is specified at 1080 by 2436 pixels. Both list a refresh ceiling of 120Hz, leaving resolution and screen shape as more useful differences than that shared refresh figure.
A curved screen also changes how the edges look and feel in the hand. That is a design distinction, rather than evidence of better colour accuracy or touch behaviour. Those judgements would require direct inspection of the phones instead of reading their specification sheets.
Battery capacity and wired charging move upwards on the Note Edge: its sheet lists a typical 6,500mAh and up to 45W. The Note 40 lists a typical 5,000mAh and up to 33W. These ratings describe the hardware; they are not a timed comparison of charging from empty.
The Note 40 also explicitly supports 15W wireless charging. That gives the lower-priced model a feature worth recording alongside the Note Edge's larger battery. Charging through a cable and charging on a pad are different usage arrangements, so the faster wired rating does not tell the whole story.
Camera numbers do not follow the price order
Infinix lists a 108MP main camera and 32MP front camera for the Note 40. The Note Edge's corresponding figures are 50MP and 13MP. As with storage, the larger headline numbers sit on the cheaper product in this particular comparison.
Those resolutions cannot settle image quality. Exposure, processing, lens behaviour and how reliably a camera captures a moving subject matter to the final picture. This comparison makes no claim that either phone produces better photographs, because no controlled camera test is being reported.
The processor names differ too: Dimensity 7020 for Note 40 and Dimensity 7100 for Note Edge. A newer-looking model number should not substitute for measured application performance. The official sheets establish the components, while sustained responsiveness remains a separate testing question.
Read the wider range on its own terms
The Note 60 Pro price list covers a different family. Readers comparing a folding design can also see the Zero Flip price report. Each report has its own price context.
Our battery-capacity explainer helps interpret the battery labels here. The clearest result from these listings is that the cheaper phone offers more storage in the selected comparison, while the Note Edge changes the display and battery package. Price alone does not make every specification move in the same direction.
