NEW DELHI: Infinix Smart 8 Plus is listed at Rs 7,799 for 4GB RAM and 128GB storage on the company's India store, while Smart 10 is Rs 10,999 for 4GB and 64GB. The cheaper phone therefore has more internal storage and a larger listed battery. Smart 10 counters with a higher screen refresh rate and a newer Android version in its specification sheet.

Price as of 2 November 2026, 00:45 IST. These figures are displayed brand store prices, inclusive of taxes, without subtracting card or exchange benefits. They describe the selected versions, rather than an assumed price for every colour or memory combination.

The Rs 3,200 gap does not buy more storage

Smart 10 costs Rs 3,200 more in this comparison, despite having half the listed internal capacity. That makes this a particularly revealing pair for a shared household handset: a larger model number and a higher price do not, by themselves, mean more space for photographs, downloaded lessons or local video files.

Both selected phones have the same amount of physical RAM. Smart 8 Plus also advertises expanded memory, but its India page explains that this combines physical and virtual memory. The expanded total should not be read as additional physical RAM, or used to turn this into a comparison between different hardware memory classes.

The dedicated card arrangements on both models support a microSD card alongside the SIMs. This gives a separate route for local file storage. It does not erase the difference in built-in capacity, which remains relevant when comparing the actual versions listed by the store.

A faster display is a separate benefit

Smart 10's LCD measures 6.67 inches and has a listed resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. The Smart 8 Plus India specification lists 720 x 1612 pixels. Both sit in the HD+ class, so this is not a jump to a substantially higher display-resolution category.

The refresh-rate difference concerns how frequently the display can update. It is relevant to scrolling and interface motion, but it does not prove that an app will open faster or a game will run at the panel's maximum rate. The processor and the software workload also matter; the specification sheets are not a substitute for a performance test.

Our Smart 10 listing report covers that phone separately. This comparison focuses on the unusual storage and battery trade-offs against the older Plus model, rather than treating the names as a simple upgrade ladder.

Capacity and charging point in the same direction

The Plus has the larger listed battery and the higher supported charging figure. Neither establishes a measured endurance advantage in hours. Screen use, reception and background activity can change the result, and we have not tested the two phones under matching conditions.

Similarly, the charging figures describe support rather than a timed refill result. They should not be converted into a precise charging-time comparison. For someone who mainly needs a phone for calls and locally stored media, these are useful specifications to weigh alongside the software difference.

Software is the less visible distinction

Smart 10's listed Android version is newer than the Go edition listed for Smart 8 Plus. These are the versions named on the official pages, not a claim about the latest update installed on every handset. The comparison does not establish a remaining security-support period for either model.

That distinction matters when the phone is expected to stay in use for banking, messaging and school communication. A low purchase price does not answer the separate question of software support. Equally, a newer listed Android version should not be presented as a confirmed promise of future updates without a model-specific support commitment.

The camera figures also need restraint: the Plus has the higher main-camera pixel count, but that alone does not establish better photographs. For related catalogue context, see our Smart 8 coverage and Smart 20 HD report. Those are separate models and their figures have not been substituted here.
