GURUGRAM: The Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority published a tender on Saturday, October 31, 2026, for service roads on both sides of the stretch from Subhash Chowk to Hero Honda Chowk. The Rs 20.26 crore proposal covers a route used by residents and office commuters around Sector 34 and would add footpaths and pipe drains alongside the service roads.
The tender appeared at 6:55 pm IST and gives a work period of 540 days. It is a procurement notice, so the period should not be read as a promise that the roads will be ready 540 days after publication. A contractor still has to be selected before the project can move into execution.
What the tender covers
The official Haryana procurement record describes construction on both sides between the two junctions, with associated works. Its work description expressly includes footpaths and pipe drains. The named endpoints are useful for commuters checking whether the proposal concerns their route: this is the link between Subhash Chowk and Hero Honda Chowk, rather than a citywide service road programme.
Local reports published on November 1 and 2 describe the corridor as about three kilometres long and connecting the Delhi to Jaipur highway with the Gurugram to Sohna highway. They attribute the need for additional road capacity to congestion during morning and evening travel, with Metro construction adding pressure along the route.
The reports also identify the office and employment areas served by the corridor, including government offices and Info City in Sector 34. For those travelling to these destinations, the proposal concerns access alongside an existing busy road. It does not announce a diversion, a new route opening or an immediate change in how traffic must move.
Dates and conditions to watch
- Tender identifier: 2026_HRY_557820_1.
- Estimated value: Rs 20,26,19,158.
- Prebid meeting: November 13 at 11 am IST.
- Bid submission deadline: November 21 at 5 pm IST.
- Scheduled bid opening: November 23 at 11 am IST.
- Stated period of work: 540 days.
The prebid meeting is listed at the GMDA office on the third floor of Plot 3, Sector 44, Gurugram. The authority inviting the tender is GMDA's Division of Road Maintenance and Urban Amenities. Contractors should check the official record for any revised dates before relying on this schedule.
The procurement uses two covers. One contains the required qualification and technical documents, and the other contains the financial bid. The notice lists bid validity at 180 days and an earnest money deposit of Rs 40,52,380, with exemption allowed under the tender conditions. These requirements concern bidders; residents are not being asked to register or pay towards the road works.
How this fits the wider road programme
A separate GMDA tender already listed on its official tenders page concerns repairs to the main and service roads from Millennium City Centre to Subhash Chowk. Keeping the repair stretch separate from the new service road stretch matters when checking subsequent work notices or asking which section a contractor is responsible for.
Other recent local road coverage includes Hero bike price list: HF Deluxe from Rs 59,477, Splendor+ Rs 78,912, Xtreme 160R Rs 1,13,829, the Hero Destini 125 price list: Rs 80,138 to Rs 90,019 and the Hero Vida price list in Delhi: Rs 95,000 to Rs 1,25,990, BaaS from Rs 64,990. These are separate projects and reviews. Their inclusion does not establish that work under the new Subhash Chowk tender has begun.
