GURUGRAM: ESIC Model Hospital in Sector 9A published a recruitment listing on Monday, November 2, 2026, inviting doctors for 39 contractual posts. The hospital's notice schedules interviews for November 13, with 13 full time specialist vacancies and 26 senior resident vacancies across clinical and laboratory departments.

The interview venue is the medical superintendent's chambers on the second floor of the Sector 9A hospital. Reporting starts at 9 am IST and closes at 10.30 am IST on November 13. The underlying advertisement is dated October 28; the fresh development is its November 2 appearance on ESIC's official recruitment list.

Which departments have vacancies

The specialist list includes two posts each in Accident and Emergency, Medicine and Radiology. There is one each in Biochemistry, Chest, intensive care, obstetrics and gynaecology, Paediatrics, Psychiatry and Surgery. Together these add up to the 13 specialist positions advertised by the hospital.

For senior residents, Medicine has five posts and Anaesthesiology four. The neonatal intensive care unit and obstetrics and gynaecology have three each. Orthopaedics, Paediatrics and Surgery have two each, while Biochemistry, Dermatology, Eye, intensive care and Radiology have one each.

The notice gives reservation categories department by department. Applicants need to use that detailed table when identifying an appropriate vacancy. The advertised totals describe posts available for selection; they do not establish that doctors have already joined or that any department has opened a new patient service.

Qualifications, tenure and pay

Specialist applicants need a postgraduate degree or diploma in the relevant specialty and registration with the Medical Council of India or a state medical council. The required experience is at least three years after the postgraduate degree or five years after the diploma, in a government hospital or recognised private hospital rather than a private clinic.

The specialist age ceiling is 69 on the interview date, with relaxation as specified in the notice. Consolidated monthly remuneration is Rs 1,48,263, subject to revision under ESIC rules. The proposed term is three years, renewed annually following a performance evaluation, or until a regular specialist joins, whichever happens earlier.

Senior resident applicants generally need a relevant postgraduate degree or diploma and council registration. Their age ceiling is 45 on the interview date, subject to the applicable relaxation. Initial pay is at Level 11, with basic pay of Rs 67,700 plus allowances; the notice specifies deductions for diploma holders and candidates without a postgraduate qualification.

If postgraduate doctors are unavailable, the hospital may consider an MBBS doctor with two years of experience, including one year in the relevant specialty, for a one year senior resident contract. Postgraduate applicants retain preference. Candidates who have already completed three years as senior residents under the Central Residency Scheme are ineligible for that post.
