Northern Railway's festival timetable updated on October 30 lists eight November departures each from Delhi's Shakur Basti station to Patna, Mansi and Jhanjharpur. All three outbound services are scheduled for November 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14, 2026. The return calendar needs a separate check: Mansi departures begin and end a day later than the listed Patna and Jhanjharpur return schedules.

The official Northern Railway notice places these services in its Deepawali and Chhath festival programme. It covers specials originating or terminating in Northern Railway, including services operated with other railway zones. The October 30 update is not evidence that every train in the compilation was first announced that day, and the timetable does not establish whether seats are available.

Three destinations, different departure times

Train 04404 leaves Shakur Basti for Patna Junction at 15:15 on each of the eight outbound dates. The timetable gives 14:30 as the arrival clock time at Patna. It does not identify the arrival-day sequence in that column, so an arrival calendar date or journey duration cannot be established from this summary alone.

For the return journey, train 04403 leaves Patna Junction at 15:40 on November 6, 7, 8, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15. Its listed arrival time at Shakur Basti is 15:00. The last departure shown from Delhi is November 14, while the last listed departure from Patna is November 15.

Jhanjharpur-bound train 04410 leaves Shakur Basti earlier in the afternoon, at 13:00. Its eight departure dates are the same as those for Patna: November 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14. The arrival clock time shown for Jhanjharpur Junction is 16:00. Sharing a departure calendar does not make these the same service; their numbers, destinations and timings differ.

Train 04409 leaves Jhanjharpur Junction at 18:15 on November 6, 7, 8, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15. Its Shakur Basti arrival time is listed as 01:40. That after-midnight clock time should not be converted into a particular arrival date without the fuller timetable, which this notice does not supply.

Mansi returns extend to November 16

Train 04406 leaves Shakur Basti for Mansi Junction at 19:10. It operates on the same eight outbound dates as the Patna and Jhanjharpur specials, with 02:30 shown in the Mansi arrival column. The evening departure is therefore distinct from the 13:00 Jhanjharpur service and the 15:15 Patna service, even on dates when all three are listed.

In the reverse direction, train 04405 leaves Mansi Junction at 04:30 on November 7, 8, 9, 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16. Its arrival clock time at Shakur Basti is 11:30. Unlike the Patna and Jhanjharpur return calendars, Mansi's list starts on November 7 and ends on November 16.

There are eight listed departures in each direction for each of these three pairs. They are date-specific services, not daily trains throughout the November 5 to 14 period. November 8 and 9, for example, are absent from all three outbound Shakur Basti lists. That is a reading of the published operating dates, not a cancellation announcement.

Other Delhi terminals have separate services

The same compilation lists train 04088 from New Delhi to Patna Junction daily at 15:50 through November 30. Return train 04087 leaves Patna daily at 15:10 through December 1. This pair is separate from the limited-date Shakur Basti to Patna service, with different numbers and a different Delhi departure station.

For Muzaffarpur Junction, train 04028 leaves Anand Vihar Terminal at 09:15 on Tuesdays and Fridays through November 24. Train 04027 returns from Muzaffarpur at 06:15 on Wednesdays and Saturdays through November 25. New Delhi, Anand Vihar Terminal and Shakur Basti are the respective station names in the notice, not interchangeable labels for one boarding point.

The summary does not give booking-opening dates, fares, seat availability or every intermediate halt. It also does not verify a Gurugram stop for these services. Northern Railway directs passengers seeking timings and en-route stoppages to RailMadad helpline 139 and the railway enquiry system. Those details remain separate from the departure dates verified here.

Dalimss News has separate background on Chhath's holiday date and four-day observance. Its earlier report on the Jodhpur to Gorakhpur festival special via Gurugram concerns another train pair, not a Gurugram boarding option established by this Shakur Basti notice.
