Apple opened Indian pre-orders on 13 October for HomeView, its new home display, alongside HomePod mini 2 and the fourth-generation Apple TV 4K. HomeView and the TV box each cost ₹39,900; the smaller speaker costs ₹18,900. The three products arrive on different dates, and their advertised Siri AI features have different conditions.

HomePod mini 2 is listed for availability from 30 October. HomeView and Apple TV 4K follow on 13 November. These are Apple’s announced availability dates, not a promise of immediate delivery to every address. Prices are Apple India store prices as of 13 October 2026, 10:37 pm IST, inclusive of taxes.

HomeView brings a display, with a separate wall option

The HomeView product page lists a 7-inch Liquid Retina display, an A18 chip and a 12MP Centre Stage camera for video calls. The device can recognise up to six household members by face and show each person their own apps and widgets. Its screen can also display compatible home-camera feeds and accessory controls.

The tabletop model combines the display with a domed speaker base and adjustable hinge. It comes in silver, starlight, rose pink and space grey. Apple also sells a separate wall-mounted model in silver or space grey for the same ₹39,900. The two formats have different speaker arrangements; the wall model does not include the tabletop base.

Wall hardware adds to the bill. Apple’s India announcement lists Schneider Home’s USB-C Wall Connector from ₹6,900 and AC Wired mount from ₹8,900. The display and mount alone therefore start at ₹46,800 or ₹48,800, before installation. The wall model’s USB-C cable and power adapter are sold separately; the USB-C Wall Connector requires an adapter rated at least 20W. A ₹14,900 Power over Ethernet mount is due in early 2027, rather than at launch.

HomeView setup requires an iPhone with iOS 27.2 or later, or an iPad with iPadOS 27.2 or later, according to its store FAQ. Each enrolled household member needs an Apple Account and compatible device. Personal-context requests have a further requirement: an Apple Intelligence-enabled paired iPhone or iPad, with Siri AI switched on in a supported language.

The speaker’s AI update comes later

HomePod mini 2 is offered in pink, green, blue, white and midnight. Its box includes a 20W USB-C power adapter. Apple lists a full-range driver and dual passive radiators, with support for stereo pairing and multi-room audio. A stereo pair requires two speakers of the same model and generation.

The timing caveat is explicit in Apple’s HomePod announcement: Siri AI will arrive through a future free software update. The release does not give a date for that update. English support is planned for India, but buyers should not treat the speaker’s 30 October availability as confirmation that every new AI feature will work that day.

On HomePod mini 2 and Apple TV, Siri AI requires the home’s owner in the Home app to have an Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone or iPad with current software, Siri AI enabled and a supported language selected. Anyone budgeting for a paired phone can use our earlier iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 17 comparison, while checking the exact feature requirements separately.

HomeView and Apple TV describe Siri AI as a beta feature in version 27.2 of their software. Apple also says some server-based AI features have daily usage limits, with expanded access for a fee in future. Its published usage terms say a feature can become unavailable or limited until its allowance resets. The releases do not specify a future Indian fee.

Apple TV costs extend beyond the box

The new Apple TV 4K uses an A19 chip and has three far-field microphones for hands-free voice commands. The ₹39,900 package includes the fourth-generation Siri Remote and a power cord. HDMI and USB-C cables are sold separately. A compatible television, internet connection and appropriate HDMI cable remain necessary.

Existing owners should separate hardware changes from software access. Apple’s TV announcement says Siri AI is also available on Apple TV 4K second generation and later, subject to its requirements. Access to the assistant alone therefore does not establish a need to replace an eligible older box.

The new four-speaker surround setup specifically requires the fourth-generation Apple TV 4K and four HomePod mini 2 or second-generation HomePod speakers in matching front and rear pairs. Four mini 2 units cost ₹75,600 at the checked price. With the TV box, that makes ₹1,15,500 before the television, cables or content subscriptions.

Smart-home accessories are separate purchases, and HomeKit Secure Video recordings and AI video descriptions have compatible-device and iCloud+ subscription conditions. The globally announced Home Collection cameras, locks and thermostats have no India availability in Apple’s published country list. Their overseas launch should not be mistaken for an Indian accessory rollout.

Entertainment purchases need their own compatibility check too. Our India App Store games report covers mobile prices and device restrictions; those iPhone and iPad listings do not establish Apple TV compatibility. Check the television version of a game or streaming app before including it in the hardware budget.
