NEW DELHI: Apple AirTag costs Rs 3,790 for a single tracker and Rs 12,900 for a four-pack on Apple's India store. These are the two pack options for the current generation. The larger pack changes the cost per item, while the tracking hardware remains the same.
| Pack | India price | Price per AirTag |
|---|---|---|
| One AirTag | Rs 3,790 | Rs 3,790 |
| Four AirTags | Rs 12,900 | Rs 3,225, calculated |
Price as of 28 October 2026, 01:06 IST. The per-tracker figure for the four-pack is calculated by dividing its listed price by the number of trackers. It is not a separate single-unit price available at checkout.
What the pack price actually changes
A household tagging several belongings has a different calculation from someone attaching a tracker only to a key ring. Four individual AirTags would cost Rs 15,160 at the listed single-pack price. The four-pack costs Rs 2,260 less in total, a calculation from Apple's published prices. That saving requires paying for the whole pack upfront.
The practical question is how many distinct items need a tracker. A family can list its keys, work bags and luggage before choosing a pack. Buying spare trackers without deciding where they belong creates another small device to maintain. Neither pack includes a different performance tier, so this is a quantity decision rather than an upgrade decision.
What changed in this AirTag
Apple announced the current AirTag on 26 January 2026. Its second-generation Ultra Wideband chip extends Precision Finding to as much as 50 percent farther away than the previous generation, according to Apple. The company also says the speaker is 50 percent louder, with an audible range of up to twice the earlier model's distance.
Those are relative claims rather than a promise of a fixed distance inside every home. The distinction matters when keys are buried in a bag or left in another room. Apple also retained compatibility with existing AirTag accessories, so an owner replacing an older tracker can check the holder they already have before adding another accessory to the bill.
Precision Finding on the wrist supports Apple Watch Series 9 or later and Apple Watch Ultra 2 or later, with watchOS 26.2.1 required in Apple's announcement. Readers comparing the wider ecosystem can use our Apple Watch price guide without treating a watch purchase as part of AirTag's pack price.
Understand the location system
AirTag sends a Bluetooth signal that nearby devices in Apple's Find My network can detect and relay. That makes the surrounding network part of the recovery process. Finding an item nearby and seeing a remotely relayed location are different steps, even though both appear within Find My.
For an Indian family sharing car keys, Apple's option to share an AirTag with up to five people can be more relevant than the loudness change. It lets the same tagged object serve several authorised users. The product remains an object finder; the presence of a location on a map should not be treated as a guarantee that a missing bag can immediately be recovered.
The current specifications list a user-replaceable CR2032 battery, IP67 water and dust resistance, and an Apple Account with an iPhone running iOS 26 or later or an iPad running iPadOS 26 or later. Android users receiving an unwanted-tracking alert should not confuse that safety feature with being able to set up AirTag as their own tracker.
Remember the battery and holder
Apple's battery-replacement instructions call for a CR2032 lithium 3V coin cell, inserted positive side up. The company advises checking for AirTag-compatible packaging because some bitterant-coated cells may not work. Keep the tracker, cover and batteries away from small children during replacement.
