NEW DELHI: Xiaomi's Indian catalogue lists the Power Bank 4i 10000mAh in Classic Black at Rs 1,249 and the 20000mAh 33W version in Jet Black at Rs 2,099. The lower-priced model has a 22.5W charging ceiling. The larger model adds battery capacity and a higher advertised output, rather than extra charging sockets.

What the price comparison includes

Price as of 29 October 2026, 10:51 IST. These are the amounts displayed in Xiaomi's own Indian product catalogue for the named black finishes. The larger model's overview also shows Turbo Blue and Nitro Green, but separate prices for those colours were not verified. They should not be assigned the Jet Black price by assumption.

The comparison is between the capacity versions of the 4i family. It does not mix in the similarly named Pocket Power Bank or a later generation. That is important because a search for Xiaomi portable batteries can return several products with overlapping capacity descriptions and very different designs.

Capacity and output change together

The 10000mAh overview identifies a lithium-ion battery and promotes fast charging through USB-C in both directions. The 20000mAh page describes a battery arrangement using 10000mAh cells and advertises 33W output through USB-C. Those published specifications establish the larger model's positioning without promising a particular phone recharge count.

The implication for an Indian commuter is that the higher-priced 4i addresses time away from a wall socket as well as charging speed. Someone using navigation during a long journey and someone leaving a phone connected on a desk can ask different questions of the same capacity figure. The label alone cannot describe either person's entire day.

Nor does the higher output mean every phone will charge at the advertised maximum. Xiaomi asks users to use compatible cables for the relevant output level. A handset's charging support remains part of the connection. The two figures in the table are product ceilings, not measured speeds from a shared test using the reader's phone.

Our Xiaomi 165W vs 5i 67W price: 5i starts lower at Rs 3,199 explains the surrounding terminology. This comparison keeps the published hardware claims separate from an independent performance test, which has not been conducted here.

The socket count stays the same

Both overview pages describe connections for simultaneous charging: two USB-A ports and a USB-C port. Xiaomi also says output changes when the ports are used together. The larger capacity therefore should not be read as a promise of an additional connection, or of maximum output independently available at every occupied socket.

This is a useful distinction for a household sharing a battery pack. Moving to the larger 4i changes the battery and output specifications, while the cable arrangement remains familiar. The question is less about fitting an extra plug and more about the needs of the devices already connected.

Both pages describe a low-power discharge mode activated by a double press of the button. Xiaomi presents it for accessories such as earbuds and smartwatches. That gives the 4i family a specific role beyond phone charging, particularly when a smaller accessory and a phone travel in the same bag.

Xiaomi also advertises 12 layers of safety protection for both models. That is a common family feature in this comparison, so it does not distinguish the price tiers. The differences established by the official pages remain capacity and maximum advertised charging output.

Read the model label before travelling

A capacity comparison is only part of a travel check. Our Xiaomi 17 series price list: 17T Rs 69,999, Xiaomi 17 Rs 89,999, 17 Ultra Rs 1,39,999 covers the separate carriage requirements. Keep the actual product label available when checking those rules, rather than relying on the abbreviated model name used in a catalogue card.

Our Xiaomi 17T now starts at Rs 69,999 in India, Rs 10,000 above launch price covers a separate capacity pair. Those models belong to another manufacturer. The verified distinction within this Xiaomi 4i comparison remains clear: the selected 10000mAh finish has the lower catalogue price, while the selected 20000mAh finish carries the higher capacity and output specifications.
