Virendra Singh, Member of Parliament from Chandauli, Targets Bharatiya Janata Party Over SIR List, Women’s Bill and Election Strategy

In a sharp political attack, Virendra Singh, Member of Parliament from Chandauli, has ignited fresh controversy by targeting the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on multiple key national and electoral issues.
Reacting to the ongoing SIR (Special Intensive Revision) voter list controversy, Singh alleged that while elections might be influenced once through manipulation, it is not possible to mislead the public repeatedly. He accused the ruling party of confusing voters through such exercises, raising concerns over transparency in the electoral process.
On the issue of the Women’s Reservation Bill, Singh questioned the intent behind its timing. He claimed that the BJP is approaching the legislation from a political standpoint, introducing it strategically during election periods to gain electoral advantage rather than focusing on genuine empowerment of women.
Further intensifying his criticism, Singh targeted the BJP’s election strategies in states like West Bengal. He alleged that the party uses promises and incentives in its manifestos to influence voters. In a controversial remark, he also raised questions about the functioning of the Election Commission of India, suggesting that it operates under the influence of the ruling party.
Commenting on recent remarks by Mamata Banerjee, Singh said that while he conveyed similar concerns in a more restrained manner, Banerjee used stronger language to express her stance.
He also reacted to statements made by Hussain, alleging that certain political figures have now been “unmasked” and describing them as the BJP’s “B-team,” further escalating the political rhetoric.
With these statements, Virendra Singh has added momentum to the ongoing political confrontation, indicating that the battle between opposition leaders and the BJP is likely to intensify as upcoming elections draw closer.
