Varanasi to Host National Wheat Industry Meet on July 9 and 10

Varanasi, June 24: Varanasi is set to host a national wheat industry meet next month, with the WPPS CEO's Conclave 2026 scheduled for July 9 and 10.
The event is being organised by the Wheat Products Promotion Society in association with the Uttar Pradesh Roller Flour Mills Association, according to reports. The theme of the two-day conclave is "Redefining Wheat Value Chains for a New India."
CEO Conclave to Be Held in July
The conclave is expected to bring industry leaders, flour millers, wheat traders, food manufacturers, grain procurement professionals, technology providers, researchers and policymakers to Varanasi.
Reports said more than 300 participants from India and abroad are expected to attend. The programme will include technical sessions, panel discussions and networking opportunities for stakeholders across the wheat and food processing chain.
Focus on Wheat Value Chains
The wheat sector is changing as consumer demand, nutrition priorities, food fortification, processing technology and supply chain systems evolve. The conclave is expected to discuss how the sector can respond to these changes while supporting food security and economic growth.
Organisers are expected to focus on collaboration among farmers, millers, traders, food manufacturers, researchers and policymakers. Discussions may also cover value-added wheat products, modern milling practices and sustainability concerns in the food industry.
Why the Meet Matters for Food Industry
Wheat remains one of India's most important food grains. Meetings such as the WPPS CEO's Conclave provide a platform for businesses and policy-linked stakeholders to discuss practical challenges in procurement, processing, quality, distribution and consumer demand.
For Varanasi, the event also adds to the city's role as a host for national business and industry gatherings. Delegates are expected to engage not only with technical discussions but also with the city's cultural and hospitality offerings during the conclave.
