Varanasi: Under-Construction Hotel Wall Collapses on House in Manduadih, Four Injured

A major accident took place in the Manduadih area of Varanasi after a wall of an under-construction hotel suddenly collapsed onto a nearby residential house, leaving four people injured and causing extensive damage to household property.
According to local residents, the hotel wall—estimated to be nearly 10 feet high—came crashing down without warning during the construction work. The impact created panic in the neighborhood as debris fell directly onto the adjacent house, damaging furniture, household items, and other belongings.
Four members of the family sustained injuries in the incident. With the help of nearby residents, the injured were immediately rushed to a hospital for medical treatment. The condition of the injured has not yet been officially confirmed.
The affected family alleged that negligence in the construction work led to the accident. They claimed that complaints regarding unsafe construction practices had been raised earlier as well, but no effective action was taken by the concerned authorities.
Following the incident, anger spread among local residents, who demanded strict action against those responsible for the alleged negligence. The victims have also urged the administration to provide proper compensation for the damages caused to their home and belongings, along with ensuring adequate medical treatment for the injured family members.
The accident has once again raised serious concerns over safety measures and monitoring of construction activities in densely populated residential areas of Varanasi. Local residents are demanding a thorough investigation into the matter to prevent similar incidents in the future.
